It's funny you bring that one up. This is the standard SMG for H4H. It's also pretty much the "generic SMG" I use for villains...mostly because I know those stats pretty well.
Since you seem to be so gunny lately...how about some homework? One of the things I always thought the DC gun list was missing was another column. One column that would differentiate between common uses for the weapon. Is it an SMG? Is it a Sniper Rifle? That way you could look down the list, when looking for a sniper rifle, and just consider that ones marked Sniper.
I would basically like to have a list of two or three weapons for each general category.
Actually, I think if all the gun-bunnies put their minds to it, we might be able to cover the whole darned list!
See how I get other people to do all the boring work? 8D

The problem with "categorizing" certain weapons nowadays is that the differences are so much less than they were ages ago. In fact, that's mostly an opinion derived from a modern perspective. Depending on technology levels, time period, etc. the role of a gun changes. To the modern soldier, the only reason to use a bolt action is if you're a sniper... to the WWI crowd, its a standard armament.
Another example is that the setup of the same rifle changes its role. An M-14, which is a bit older but still in use, is a standard infantry rifle to some. Put a scope on it, perhaps a trigger job and some other accessories, and its a sniper rifle. I believe one of the top snipers of american history used an M-14. Shorten up the barrel or use the alternate version I showed above, and it can be a CQB rifle (arguable for some, considering its a .308, but still..) etc. etc.
One of the reasons I think that's not included is because of these and other reasons. Besides setup and time reference, its only really viable for only one setting. As is, I don't necessarily agree with how its set up in the game as standard anyway, I just don't bother to quibble with it as its only minutely bothersome, as in the H4H game, I'll just build what I want. =)
As an aside, on my list of projects right now is making a prop gun for Father Martin for my own amusement. I was going to use the Hellboy prop gun out there as a basis until I saw the price tag ($299). OUCH! So its back to PVC, Bondo, and wood... cuz I don't have a metal shop handy... or much skill with that stuff, even if I did. =)
I am not bringing a long bow and quartz tipped arrows to the game table! As an aside, on my list of projects right now is making a prop gun for Father Martin for my own amusement.
A compound bow on the other hand...![]()
Hey, I didn't say we all had to bring props... I just want one cuz I think it'd be fun to make and I really like the visual I have of it. I'm not going to show up in costume or anything...![]()
whilst looking into some of the guns mentioned on the page i found this
not a gun but very cool none the less its called Frag12 and its a fin stabilized micro grenade that's fired from a standard 3" shot gun shell they recon its accurate out to 200 yards oh and its British yay national pride
meanwhile the Americans have the perfect tool for firing it the http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh29-e.htm fully auto assault shotgun with a 20 round drum mag shotgun
and finally the israeli Tavor assault rifle which is what got me on this in the first place very cool looking I'm sure it will be subbing fro space age weaponry all over holly wood very soon

Neat find on the oddball shotgun round. Very nice pic, too.
I was going to rant on the shotgun and bullpup rifle, but that's kind of rude... everyone's preferences differ. For a neat shotgun, though, look up the Saiga shotguns. Not always pretty, but looks to work better than the middle contraption.
yeah the Saiga is pretty cool looking looks like a proper gun too the AA 12 looks way to much like a paint ball gun for my liking
as to the frag 12 I'm looking froward to modding it into a whole arsenal of custom munitions in photo shop
Has anyone ever actually shot a bullpup style weapon? How hard is it to change magazines? It looks kind of awkward, compared to traditional magazine-in-front-of-the-trigger configuration.

Its not really the difficulty of changing magazines, the mechanisms are typically the same, its just the orientation of having the magazine that far back. Depends on what you're used to, really, as rifle mag changes aren't exactly the most convenient in any case. Either way, you have to brace the weapon somehow. In fact, with a bullpup weapon, it might be easier once one gets used to it since you can brace the rifle against yourself by simply holding the rifle against your side or hip. When its in front, you have to manipulate the rifle a bit to get a new mag in, and most use their trigger hand to do it. With a bullpup, you can use your off-hand, like you would with a pistol. I'm not really an experienced rifle shooter, my main long arm being a shotgun, but I'd imagine the bullpup is actually a bit easier on the reload. Of course, if you need a reload, that's kind of an ugly situation in any case.
On the subject of "If you need to reload, you're already hosed" I stumbled across this looking for something completely different, and figured it was worth sharing.
There are stories of faeries and banshees and the walking dead; but "the worst of them all," is the Fool of Forth, the Amadan-na-Briona, he whose stroke is, as death, incurable.
As to the fool in this world, the pity for him is mingled with some awe, for who knows what windows may have been opened to those who are under the moon's spell, who do not give in to our limitations, are not "bound by reason to the wheel."

I was thinking the same thing about the H&K G11--
