Hehehe...
Pshaw.
Guns for show, knives for a pro.
Systems I use: D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, Star Wars SAGA, Star Wars Revised Core Rules, GURPS 4th Edition, Shadowrun 4th Edition, Monte Cook's World of Darkness, New World of Darkness, Spycraft 2.0, d20 Modern, Alternity, Savage Worlds, HERO 6th Edition, and Mutants & Masterminds 2nd Edition.
Quit bashing other systems: it isn't doing you any favors.
I like the look of this knife.

agrussel has it for about 2/3 the price, and a better picture too.

As I understand it, while both are very effective tool blades, the Kukri's development history was driven by conbat requirements, while the Machete has never been anything but a weapon of opportunity. If I want to hack through brush, I'll take a Machete. If I want to hack through people...
I owe Michael Hopcroft MORE Rep.
I have never actually used a Kukri for anything. The forward weight distribution is said to concentrate the force on a smaller area, iirc. Given what I remember doing with a CHEAP $5 machete... Amazingly, it threw quite well. It was no more than 18" long, but...

I decided to find a better picture of that knife. First I found something else interesting.

I don't know if this came up before, but it's definitely one for the James Bond type games:
Metal "art" sculpture hides parts for "Golden Gun" with laser sight.
It won't actually make it through any security checkpoint, especially if they use chemical sniffers or gunpowder-finding dogs, but it certainly has a heck of a Concealment modifier.

Oddly, knives and guns go together.... and if I had to pick, I'd still go for a gun, even though I probably have more hand to hand experience than shooting experience. So long as we're going for blades, though, here's one I like...

us_embassador_to_hungary_2-tm-tfb.jpgI have been thinking for several years about ordering a Hungarian Horsebow. Now I found another Hungarian product I think I want...
note, the woman shooting it is the US Ambassador to Hungary!

That's.... kind of hot. =)
Now that you've got the cool guns, and the cool knives, and the cool...cannons...it's time for a cool trench coat so you can conceal your armory in style.
