    Krim?

    Hey all,

What's the actual story of Krim? I know from Champions that he's a demon god and created the Crowns, but is there more to the story?

    Thanks,

    Frank

He was born a poor black sharecropper, then moved on to better things.

    Seriously, I have no idea.

All else I know of him is that he's the maternal uncle of Kal-Turak (aka Takofanes).

There are a few more details in other books (check the Ultimate Index for a comprehensive list of the references), but the full story has yet to be told.

    Re: Krim?

He does appear to have more crowns than most people have heads... perhaps that's a clue?
"They sing no songs in Hel, nor do they celebrate heroes, for silent is that dismal realm, and cheerless. But the story of Gjallerbru and the god who defended it is whispered across the nine worlds, and when a new arrival asks about the one to whom even Hela bows her head, the answer is always the same: He stood alone at Gjallerbru... and that is answer enough."

At least Tak comes by his attitude naturally.

According to The Mystic World, Krim was a king of demons and during the Turakian Age a god of evil and destruction. Some sources say that he was either the father of the Dragon, or its son. Although once a great power, Krim now exists only through the Crowns and their wearers.

Possibly in Fantasy Primeval, if and when that book is written?

Krim is so tough, that under his beard, there's no chin, just another fist!

Krim only wears those crowns because it entertains Chuck Norris.

(yes... even I am getting sick of the Master Chuck references but this one was begging to come out.)

    Re: Krim?

There is no evolution...just a list of species Krim allows to live.
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

At Takophanes' bachelor party, Krim ate the entire cake before we could tell him there was a stripper in it.
