    SAS-Champions Conversions: back and Forth

    Has anyone figured out good converstion forumalas between the Hero System and the D10 Tri-Stat system used in Guardians of Order's Silver Age Sentinels RPG?

    I figured with all the "friendly" rivalry going on between the two companies and their fans that someone would want to see what having a character like the Sentinel in your campaign would REALLY entail....

    I think someone on the SAS/HERO Showdown boards stated that they were very close to having a version finished. You might want to check there to get his name and email address.

    It would be nice to have a conversion system. There are many characters and concepts in SAS that I'd like to see worked up in Hero system terms. But what wouold be the best source to convert from? The tri-stat version or the D20 version? Seems like the D20 version would have a little more "granularity". That might make it easier to 'port to Hero.

    Morningstar and I had bounced a few things back and forth. He was working from D20 and I from TriStat D10. We were often close but differences did crop up. On the whole, he was further along than I.

    Now Steve probably has something but doesn't want to publish it. His comments about how many points Kreuzritter was relative to Dr. Destroyer were eerily accurate.

    I missed that thread. How many points did he say Kreuzritter was? And what did you guys calculate? Did you actually do a character sheet in Hero for him? One thread that I saw before the old boards went down had a Sentinal write-up that I snagged. Boy was he high-powered!

    Kreuzritter

    Here's a really mucky chunk of HTML which is Kreuzritter's character sheet. He's pretty close to Steve's estimated value when interviewed by GoO (the question was Kreuzritter vs. Destroyer). Note that the VPP may be significantly underpowered. Judge for yourself.

    Oh, yuck. Just previewed it and it looks horrible against the board's colours. Definitely snag it off the printer friendly version of the page.
