    Learning Curve for 6th Edition?

Is their going to be a big learning curve between 6th edition and the older editions? Will the 6th edition be easier to learn/teach to younger players?

It's clear that I've been reading about politics too much this morning as I, for a brief second, thought that this post was written by 'Lord Obama'.

Good grief. Time to take a break.
What do you mean I can't rep myself? This post was AWESOME.

That's really two different questions. If 6e goes the same way as 5e and 5er, it will add some complexity, but not much streamlining. That will make the learning curve low-grade for those familiar with the most recent editions, but fairly insourmountable to newcomers (young or old).

If OTOH 6e focuses heavily on streamlining (which I think it should), the learning curve will be slightly steeper for experienced Hero players (more things will have different costs/structures), but will become significantly easier for newcomers.

Re: Learning Curve for 6th Edition?

Bottom line: Sixth Edition is nowhere close to being written, even in broad outlines. Steve Long has barely read the threads on the 6E discussion forum, saying that he wants to wait to plunge into them until he has the time set aside to work on the new ruleset. Aside from not wanting to change things just for the sake of changing them, Steve's made it clear that everything is on the table. So at this point it's impossible for anyone, even Steve, to say definitively how 6E will compare to 5E.
