In Act IV, Scene 1, the spirits of the island put on a special "masque" for Prospero, Ferdinand, and Miranda. The featured characters from Roman mythology are Ceres, goddess of agriculture; Iris, the messenger of the gods; and Juno, matron of the gods. For these I relied on traditional depictions of these three figures, with a certain comic-book-like flair:

These three characters are joined by a group of Nymphs, and a group of Reapers, who dance a "country dance."

    Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

Finally, as the "comedic trio" is given their comeuppance, Prospero and Ariel set several of the island's spirits after them, calling them by name:

    Prospero: Hey, Mountain, hey!
Ariel: Silver! There it goes, Silver!
Prospero: Fury, Fury! There, Tyrant, there! Hark, hark!

And so here we are with Mountain, Silver, Fury, Tyrant, and Hark. There could be others, but these are the basics. (These would also be the individuals responsible for scene changes, and Hark would likely assist Ariel in various musical endeavors throughout the play.)

Can somebody post the current link to the costume designer? When I go to the link I have, it gives me a not found error.

    Thanks!

If you used the one from post #1, that one is no longer working.

The new version can be found under http://fabricadeherois.blogspot.com/
but right now it seems as if the server is down. Maybe we can expect something new.

    Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

    Cherry Blossom

    Background

Dead. Everyone in Kayoko's life were dead. Her brothers, sisters, mothers, and father all dead. The oni that haunted and hunted her family had struck again. Once every gerneration or so a terible oni would strike the Takabe ninja clan killing everyone except for one. Kayoko turned out to be that lone survivor. That nihgt Kayoko sowre an oath over the mangled bodies of her family that she would avenge their deaths on the demon who had killed them all.

It was a long a difficult search for the killer, but eventually Kayoko tracked the monster down and had it cornered. In their final exchange of clows Kayoko got really lucky as she cut the demons' head clean off. However, the one was also able to tear a long gash in Kayoko's shoulder. Kayoko was the victor, at least as far as she thought. It came as a great suprise to the ninja girl that the oni lived still. The oni offered Kayoko great powers in return for her giving its' head back.

Against her better judgement, Kayoko did agree to give the monster it's head back. The oni promptly returend its' head to its proper place atop its' shoulders. While the oni didg grant Kayoko some powers, it still fled from her saying that one day it would return for her head. The monster laughed manically as it fled.

Once again Kayoko has taken up her quest to finish the one. She has also since joined the Eight Headed Monster Gang in the hopes that with the aid of the other members of the gang she'll finally destroy the monster who slew her entire family, but until that day Kayoko has taken the name Cherry Blossom.

    Quote

"I offer up my life for your defeat."

    Personality

The death of her family has maky Kayoko very depressed and moody. It doesn't take much to make Kayoko sad. Kayoko often sees the futility in everyday life. Life has become a comsic joke to the ninja girl. Kayoko still seeks to slay the oni that killed her entire family. This is probably the only thing that drives her. Loosing that would mostly likely cause Kayoko to give up on life itself, and as such ending hers.

    Powers/Tactics

Kayoko is a ninja who has gained a few magical powers form the one that she hunts. The main ability she gained is the ability to shrink down to an extremely small size, but maintain the same physical abilities as if she were still of normal height. While shrunk, Kayoko also has the ability to leap over great distances with eash. The oni also gave Kayoko super-human agility and speed. Kayoko has given up on using her families ninja-to, prefering to use shurikens which she can throw faster than the eye can follow. Naturally, as a ninja girl, Kayoko is a master of ninjutsu.

Like a typical ninja girl, Kayoko likes to use hit and run tactics. With her shrinking powers coupled with her ninja skills; it's almost impossilbe to find her. To get away from a conflict, Kayoko typically uses her leaping ability to make her escape.

    Appearance

Kayoko wears a typcial ninja nighsuit for a costume that is all in black. On the right breast of her ninja nightsuit is the mon of her ninja clas, a cherry blossom. To hide her identity, Kayoko wears a black silk scarf that covers the lower half of her face. Otherwise, Kayoko is a young Japanese girl who stand 5'3" tall and weighs about 80 lbs. Kayoko is a rather cute girl, but seems to have an aura of great sadness around her. When not hunting the oni Kayoko typically posess as a university student. On her back is an ugly scar where the oni raked her with its' claws.
