I've read the intro, etc.

There's a handful of suggestions I would love to make, but I don't have it in me to read, e.g., the entire Combat Issues thread to make a small suggestion about movement in combat. Given that there's still a lot of discussion time left (...right?), I'd love to see what's here broken up a lot - one thread per power, etc.

Practically, it's too late to break them up anyway. Steve would have to read them all to reorganize them, which would be a substantial time investment.

I'll take it from another angle: Is it terribly bad form for me to just post some things here and there w/o reading the entirety of these threads? Is it likely just to be ignored?

(And: Why am I thinking that anyone but Steve can answer these questions?)

Personally, I think it'd serve the creative process better if the current crop of threads were locked and a new group were started with new topics and new "thoughts" from Steve.

Because as it stands now, the threads are stale and bogged down in petty minutiae.

That might not be a bad idea, assuming Steve and company have time to go through what's already been done and start new threads asking new questions.

I just recommend that they say nothing about what they're going to do about COM. If they do, the new characteristic thread will go another 100 pages trying to get them to change their mind...

Please do not start threads to cover subjects already covered by existing threads. I've organized 'em that way to make it easiest on me both now, and more importantly in the future when it comes time to read over everything. I'm not splitting them up further, definitely not to one-Power-per-thread or any other such logistical monstrosity.

If you just have one or two minor suggestions that you want to fire-and-forget, feel free to go into the appropriate thread and post them without reading through every single page. If you want to contribute more substantially, it would probably be beneficial to read through the thread first -- even just a quick skim is likely to tell you whether what you're interested in has been covered.

Yes, that would be bad form. As I just mentioned, you can go ahead and post them in the relevant threads if necessary. If you start creating a lot of new threads the odds are I will delete them without ever reading them.

Sorry, but that's not going to happen right now. I don't have time to take a week off to do that work. If people want to continue talking about minutiae (to use your term ), that's fine with me -- either it'll be good talk and I'll find useful bits of info, or bad talk that I will ignore.

I might create new threads after I read the existing ones, but even that isn't a firm plan. It's probably more likely that after reviewing the existing posts I'll pick a group of people who've been helpful, insightful, and polite and create a discussion mailing list or something. Or maybe I'll just lock you all into a room and force you to manufacture cool cat toys for Osiris.
