Re: A Sad Day For The Hero Family

What can be said that hasn't already? Our community lost a friend, a fellow Hero; his family lost a husband, a dad, a brother, a son. There is no sorrow for Andy, for he is beyond sorrows now and for eternity. Our sorrows are for ourselves, for we who remain and live with the loss, for those closest to him who lost the most. "Happiness shared is doubled, sorrow shared is halved." Let us share our remembrances of Andy (sadly, I have none to offer), to double our happiness at having shared our lives with him, and halve our sorrow at sharing with him no more.

I just happen to go to the main page and read about this. A loss for the HERO team for sure.

Andy was a good man, I'd had the opportunity to work with him on many books, and the man was a class act. He was one of the coolest guys ever to do art for, he knew his stuff, and he loved his family, the last time I talked to him he sent pictures of his newest baby. I was shocked when I read the post.

Andy will be missed, his family is in our hearts and prayers. He was a man of faith and a good influence, I look forward to meeting him again on the other side.

    Cheers, mate.

I too have been away from the boards for a while and just caught this. I cannot say that I knew him, although we passed along a few emails. He was always upbeat and kind, a gentleman. I am deeply saddened to hear of his loss. My thoughts go out to his family and all of his loved ones.

I'm so sorry to hear about Andy. This world is diminished without him in it. He was one of us, a colleague and friend. I'll keep all of us in my prayers and thoughts.

Words escape me. I can only say that my thoughts and prayers remain with Andy's family and the extended family of Hero fans. Godspeed Andy. You will be (and are) missed very much.

Man, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I been away from the board for awhile and just read about it. Andy gave me my first professional job and I'm grateful to him for the chance. My condolences to his wife and kids. And I pray that they will have peace and joy knowing he is with the Lord.
