As long as we're making happy announcements (see "Area bunneh makes good" elsewhere), we're also delighted beyond the telling of it to announce a few other Art Direction Assignments.
First, our buddy Fred Hicks from Evil Hat Productions (makers of fine games like "Spirit Of The Century" and "Don't Rest Your Head") has kindly agreed to take on both finishing Urban Fantasy Hero's layout and also that of The Book Of Dragons. "Layout and art direction are probably my two favorite parts of RPG publishing. I'm jazzed to have a chance to use the experience I've been building over at Evil Hat Productions in service of Hero's products!" sez Mr. Hicks by IM just now. Everybody say, "Hi Fred!"
Book Of The Machine, our guide to all things Mechanon, will be handled by Matt Tice, whose work you've seen on Deadlands and several fine game products from the roustabouts at Z-Man Games. This job involves working closely with the Cryptic gang, and Matt already knows a bunch of them from Pinnacle so all is simpatico over there.
And The Ultimate Base will be co-Art Directed by the team of Scott and Margo Heine. Scott's work will be familiar to all Hero fans (if not, go check out "Mind Games" or "To Serve And Protect"), and his wife Margo will be helping him on the administrative and layout side of things. Scott's a longtime Friend Of Hero and a lovely guy, and we're thrilled to be bringing him back on board.
Thanks to all for stepping into a tough situation, and let's give them a hearty Hero welcome! dw
