    Gemini Character

Looking at the Zodiac characters I am wanting something different for Gemini. I am thinking of a 350 point character will will have shape change and perhaps a mimic power pool. The difficulty lies in the fact that I want this character (villain) also have the ability to split into two separate characters. These two characters will have much lower point values (say around 225) and will not have the power pool.

I looked at combine under the Ultimate Metamorph, and it did not quite describe what i wanted. Any ideas?

First off, the Duplication power is IMHO the worst nerf in favor of "play balance" power out there. After spending the 70 pts for a "350" point duplicate, who I must add will only be 280 pts (just like you!). That said, if you want to go this route, have fun; duplicators are big in the genre.

Now, the real issue is that VPP. The build requires the straight payout of the pool, then limiting the control cost with the "Not when duplicated" limitation (maybe -1 if the GM is generous). I this case you now have a 2nd point sink in the build. To compound the issue the duplicate now no longer spends points like you do and might need an advantage to cover it. Some GMs will let this one slide however since the duplicate is weaker than the original.

Go ahead and do it, but I wouldn't think an agent level character with a duplication trick and no weapons once he duplicates would be very cool. YMMV. This IS however a good concept for the unlimited points game. I hope 6E lets us divorce the game from points easier.

I am not looking for this villain to ever go toe-to-toe with a hero. I expect this villain to create a great deal of confusion and play a great deal of political havoc with the characters especially since the duplicates are of different sexes and can shape change.

You have given me the concept of how to proceed and I may have to greatly bump up the characters points to get Gemini to the point i need the character to function. It may take a lot of points to make a "350 point" character!

The concept is that the character is a naturally occurring human chimera. Twins initially in the womb but one absorbed the other. This particular chimera has super mutant abilities and the other "self" was able to develop.

    Re: Gemini Character

Something I may suggest, although it is some what involved, is to have 3 characters.

The first is the character in his truest form. This is the primary character you are thinking about. Add to this character, in addition to all the other powers you want, the power "Multiform." This multiform character is the 280 pt character you are envisioning. This multiform character then also has duplication to recreate a single exact copy of himself. The duplication should be bought with trigger to represent the immediate creation of him when you multiform. Also it should have a limitation showing that when you recombine that you must return to the original character.

That's just my idea on it though,
