    Gamma World Bibliography

Being a Gamma World junkie, I've compiled a list of all the Gamma World books and articles I could find as a first step toward converting all things Gamma to Hero. I started with Wikipedia then went through my collection of Dragon magazines and ended with a few indexes on the internet. None of my sources were complete so I'm missing a few authors and probably more than a few articles. (If you can fill in some of the blanks, let me know. I'd appreciate the help.) At any rate here it is, some of it behind spoilers to save space, for anyone who's interested.

Would you be interested in viewing some previous HERO fan conversions from Gamma World? There's quite a bit available on the web.

    Re: Gamma World Bibliography

I'm interested in anything Gamma World.

I know QuestionMan has posted a few links to Gamma World conversions but I haven't checked them out yet. If you know of any others, please post them here so I can go look.

Now that I think about it, I should add a section for general Gamma World websites to this thread.

All right, BB, here's everything that I'm aware of.

The following five links are to a complete world sourcebook (using 4E HERO).

    Introduction and Conversion Guidelines:
    http://www.geocities.com/heartland/p...40/player.html

    Weapons and Armor:
    http://www.geocities.com/heartland/p...0/weaparm.html

    Setting Details:
    http://www.geocities.com/heartland/p...0/settout.html

    Combat and Adventuring:
    http://www.geocities.com/heartland/p...0/gmguide.html

    Bestiary:
    http://www.geocities.com/heartland/p.../whbeasts.html

The bottom of this page has links to NPCs, adventures and adventure seeds for GW:
    http://www.geocities.com/heartland/park/3440/rpgs.html

Website with 5E HERO writeups for a number of Gamma World setting elements, and direct conversions of character stats and basic concepts from several editions of GW:
    http://www.hierax.com/hero/star/gamma/
[I recommend navigating from the links on the menu to the left of the homepage.]

This website has illustrated character sheets for several GW creatures (in 4E HERO), notes on running Cryptic Alliances, and several detailed hex-grid maps of "Meriga":
    http://www.tigerseyemedia.com/tiger/gamhero.html

This website has 5E Package Deals for races and creatures from GAMMA WORLD, among several other games:
    http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/math....html#packages
    [center column, "Racial Packages"]

(NOTE: The links on the webpage above are sometimes cranky and may take you to the author's homepage instead. Just go Back and try the link again.)

I've updated the list, filling in the missing names and adding Board Games, Comics, and Endless Quest Books. Watch for the list of GW websites - to add to the ones posted by Lord Liaden - coming soon.

Burrito Boy hired me to figure out how to get more posts.

Post and I won't have to bump the thread!

(Kidding, kidding...Actually, I offered to help with a dead thread, but I know nothing about Gamma World, so...)

    Re: Gamma World Bibliography

I'm certainly interested in seeing Gamma World to HERO conversions. I don't have anything material to contribute however. Start posting stuff and I'll skim it, offering any relevant suggestions.

    Re: Gamma World Bibliography

I'm going to start with 1st Edition Gamma World and post it in the other genres section when I have something to show for myself. A lot of it is easy because some mutations are just talents and basic powers in Hero. The rest are going to be a challenge since I'm new so I appreciate your offer to look things over.

P.S. Thanks for the help, Narf.

Yikes. Two links to my campaign page in one sitting feels a bit like shameless self promotion, but I suppose I'll risk it...

Thanks for the links and stuff. I loved Gamma World back in the day (1978).
