    Website help

I am working on a fan website. I thought there was a fankit around here for that, but I can't seem to find it, any help would be appreciated.

    Re: Website help

OK, well no one seems to know what I am talking about or able to help, so I will get specific, what I need for what I have planed is a picture of Heroman, now I am sure I can scan a cover, or find a cover, but I need to check a few things first

    1) That I am legaly allowed to use it (and any disclaimor I need)

    2) That I can modify it for my needs (Namely change colors to match site)

    thanks for the assistance

I'd email Steve or Dan about this directly. I'm pretty sure the answers would be quicker.

I used to just search the web for the Hero Logo, but now all I get is Guitar Hero logo's. heh

Also, you may want to go to Killer Shrikes site, he has legal mumbo-jumbo and logo's.

    Re: Website help

There should be a page explaining the requirements; its what I used years ago to put all the legal bits in place on my site. Maybe it got misplaced in the website overhaul HERO did when the Cryptic deal happened.

Anyway, you basically need something on the entry point page, and you have to declare you arent challenging HERO Games IP, etc etc.

    Something like this:

    Re: Website help

On this webpage you can read all the official Hero Games policies regarding what can and can't be used on a fan website.

The Hero Games website used to maintain a sizeable collection of thematic banners, wallpapers, icons, cursors, music, and other elements to adorn your own site, under "Free Stuff." Although those items are no longer hosted on the current incarnation of this site, you can still download them from this archived webpage.

    I hope that helps.
