    Real World Benchmarks

Ok, weights are easy to do thanks to the strength chart but I wanted to work on a conversion of Dragon Man and his OHOTMU listing says that his fire breath produces flames of 8,000 F in temperature, leaving me to wonder how many dice of RKA would that be- anyone want to field a guess...

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.

8000 frickin' degrees? Well, stepping into the lions jaw.

Thermite in the Equipment guide does 2d6 ka ap and its burns at roughly 4500 F while napalm which burns at about 2200 F does the same damage according to the Equipment guide but is not AP ( but explosive of course, could be area to I suppose).

Maybe 3d6 AP totally subjectively? Emotionally seems like it ought to be more. Really. whatever you want it to be the achieve the effect you want.

I'm sure our scientists here can either give you a more precise estimate or tell you how useless an exercise trying to do so is.

Thanks for the suggestion Steamteck, I was able to find in the 5th ed book that a Blast furnace (which can hit upto about 4000-5000 degrees F) does about 6d6 KA in the Fire section so I think I'll go with that. Just trying to model something as close to the listed character a possible- this NPC is literally a monster!

You are basically dealing with a combat effect here. What effect should his breath have on opponents, especially the PCs?

Once you know that, you can give him an attack to match.
The character in my avatar is Captain Atom.

Great -- a major villian is an environmental danger...

Well, they usually put the environment in danger...
On the one hand you want realism, on the other you want a playable game. We can argue about this all night long, but until you all line up against the wall and let me shoot you, we are not going to learn anything. ~Sean Waters
