    Got Daemonology pinned down, and did a Daemonologist Basic Package on my lunch break:

    Re: Fantasy HERO Setting -- World of Generica

    Woot! Thanks Shrike!

    I have to work until tomorrow evening, but I will have my HERO in tow so I can get some of the basics typed up and ready to paste into the wiki!

    The main things I want to cover, and would love as much imput as possible too! would be the following;

    1) Factions, and how to model those using HERO.

    2) The idea of alternate planes/dimensions and how to have a set of what I'd see as laws of that particular realm and how they'd interact with stuff.

    3) a generic power system for magickal/mystical constructs (can be jammers, mechs, whatever!)

    4) Perhaps this would be the realms where gunpowder would make the most sense? I'd love to get feedback on that as I believe that it fits the Jammer mould like a glove.

    I am thrilled to be able to contribute to this project and looking forward to helping out as much as I can!

    I like that kind of enthusiasm. Just start throwing stuff up and it will start to take shape.

    We've been following the convention of doing discussion / proposals in boxes and signing it; the wiki text looks like:

    (((

    blah blah blah

    ~~~~
    )))
    Once we decide and something gets committed, the obsolete discussion / commentary is deleted and the final text is left in place.
    You can see this in action currently in Barbarica and Celtica.
    Is it possible we could add Hero Designer files to the allowable file types for upload to the site?
    Is it too late to suggest a "High Thaumaturgica" (one where magic flows like water, almost a "magic as tech" type of area similar to the Dominic Deegan webcomic, the Discworld, or parts of the Order of the Stick universe) and a "Twistia" (which is different somehow, i.e. a fantasy world with a twist)?
    Nothing is too late, this is an in-progress effort.
    However, I'm not really following your line of thought. Could you elaborate further?
    Just once, at the end. Or really anywhere you want it to appear. The four tildes are converted into a signature / timestamp on postback.
