The plan all along has been to release 6E at GenCon, yes.

Relevant portions of the manuscript are being provided in advance to our main corps of volunteer GMs so they can "upgrade" their games to 6E.

And I definitely recommend mudpyr8's games (and, indeed, the games of all of our main "corps" of volunteer GMs, who are so efficiently "wrangled" by CplSpalding). Every time I walk by one and see him all set up with his computer and props and other doo-dads, I think, "Dang, that looks like a helluva lot of fun."

Thanks for the props, pun intended. I am happy to assist.

When will it be available to us common folk who can afford Gen Con?

Trust us, we'll let you know anything there is to know about ordering 6E as soon as we have specific information. As usual, check the Friday news updates on the main page for the latest info each week, and of course we'll follow that up with posts in Company Questions if we have additional breaking news.

Sooooooo, If i read the July 31st news correctly, I can pre-order 6th as a hardcopy at the con, get the pdf on disc, and not have to pay for shipping or schlep it home on an airplane?

When I first signed onto AOL and hence the internet, I was limited in letters and chose CpSpalding as a tribute to Groucho Marx's Captain Spaulding. Now, I was willing to put up with a lack of my U and having to use a non-standard abbreviation of Cp for Captain, but a demotion from captain to corporal is just going way too far--way too far sir!

So if I had a friend preorder for me at the Con and have it sent to my house...would that be okay?

Yes, that would be fine, Mostlyjoe; he'd just have to put your name and address down on the card we'll use to collect the information.

And for those not making the con, we'll put the PDF and book up for sales on August 19. Obviously you'll be able to get the PDF right away; the book will have to wait until it actually arrives in Ye Olde Warehouse.
