    The Andy Mathews Memorial Fund

All right folx! It's taken months of talking back and forth, leaping logistical hurdles, and communications delays, but we've finally gotten everything set up for:

    The Andy Mathews Memorial Fund

As some of you know, when Andy passed away last December, he had two young sons: Tim (age 6) and Mack (age 2). To honor Andy's memory, we've set up a Memorial Fund to pay for their education and health needs.

Here's how it's going to work. We've put two items in the Online Store -- a $10 donation and a $20 donation. If you want to donate, just purchase one of them (or more than one, if you want to donate a larger amount). You can even add them to any other purchase that you're making! We'll collect the donations and send them to Andy's widow, who'll manage the fund on behalf of Tim and Mack.

The $20 donation is replacing our existing charity, the CBLDF. If you make a $20 donation, you can send us your name to be put in a book. (As always, this is subject to which books we have coming up, and may also be subject to Cryptic's needs and desires re: the content of Champions books -- but of course we'll do our best to make you someone interesting and fun!) If you make multiple $20 donations, that can mean multiple names if you like.

So, while you're making purchases in the Online Store, please dig a little deeper and make a donation! It's going to a very good cause in memory of one of Hero's dearest friends.

To donate the basic amount of $10, go here.

To donate $20 and get your name in a Hero book, go here.

As a quick follow-up -- if you'd like to make a large donation, or you'd rather not go through the Online Store to make it, you're welcome to contact me directly about other ways of pitching in. Thanx!

Just wanted to thank Herodom Assembled for their generosity. We wrote our first check to Lyn and the kids today and it was a lovely and substantial one. Thanks for all your support! dw
