My main problem is I cant seem to figure out a "specialty". I'll post what I have got so far within the hour. Maybe someone will have a few ideas on that.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Ok, this was a team idea I had a while ago but never finished. They were intended to be mercenaries. (Note: They were a team based on ROY G BIV that we learn in school)

    The Nijinosenshi

This team was originally created by the Japanese Navy in WWII to fend against American metahumans. They fended against the American island-hopping campaign in many battles until Okinawa where they disappeared. Mysteriously, 60 years later the team returned, with the same members and they hadnt aged (more on that later*).

As far as the team (I never got to translated names, just color designations)

Red- Co leader with Green. He was a Naval officer. And staunchly loyal to the Japan's regime of that time. SHortly, after Pearl Harbor he was injured in a horrific accident. Scientists of the time made him one of the first cyborgs. During the war, due to the limit in tech he was generally a clumsy, bulky brick in battle. Since their return, he became fascinated with cybernetics, and has largely upgraded himself making him a more all-around powerhouse.

Orange Strangely, she is not Japanese, but a blond German woman. captured on the Eastern front and sent to Siberia. After several months of cruel treatment, she escaped. Unfortunately, her escape forced her towards fellow Axis ally Japan. It wasnt ideal but, the team had recently lost the previous Orange representative. And her confinement left her with a burning hatred of the Allied forces. She is a powerful witch by the way.

Yellow Is an oddity. He is a Buddhist monk, cursed to be a were-oni. Which he can change to somewhat at will, though he doesnt always really like to. Oddly, his staff will turn into a club during his transformation.

Green Co-leader with Red. He generally makes most of the decisions, however. Green was also an ex-officer of the Japanese Navy. Except in the Russo-Japanese War 40 years before. He left shortly after the war, and went far into rural Japan. Some where along the way he became a great martial artist. His specialty was a "death touch" to incapacitate or even kill with a mere touch. Interestingly it isnt just living things he can do it, too. One incident, after his re-recruitment, he faced an American tank and with one mere touch the tank disintegrated into many parts.

Blue Also not Japanese, also not human. She is a Chinese water dragon. Her tale is tragic, one year she laid her eggs on one beach in China. Some Chinese soldiers were in the area, and hungry used her eggs for supper. This caused her unimaginable grief, and she vowed to get revenge upon the nation. This would lead her to the team. (Note: A dragon with human intelligence, I should mention

Indigo and Violet are brother and sister. Indigo(brother) a samurai. Violet(sister) a ninja (family-strife for the win?). They inherited mystical artifacts from their father. Indigo got the armor. Violet the katana.

I still need specific names but, I'll wait till I feel like dealing with a translator

Anyhow, why did they reappear? Well, when the battle of Okinawa turned for the worse. Within the tunnels, the witch performed a powerful ritual magic spell. Unfortunately, it was miscalculated somewhere and they were flung 60 years into the future. (along with a couple dozen regular soldiers who may still be around as a "support team" of sorts for them)

With the regimes they fought for destroyed. And nowhere to go, they (reluctantly) decided to stick together as mercenaries.
Though given the dynamics of the team, they will almost definitely refuse to work for any interest that will help Russia or CHina (the witch is still mad she wasnt around for the Soviet Union's fall, and the dragon will hate China for all eternity)

    Regarding the Colors:
I think japanese have soem sort of "color coding" for teams, where the color showns who the leader is. I think Red is usally the leader, unless there is Silver or even Gold.

I think the Power Rangers show this especially, but it might be old enough to apply to this team.

Well, back then when I first thought of them at first I thought of Red and Green as kind of co-leaders. But Green being more of a calm advisor type being a better strategist. And Red as the young hothead who maybe is a little bloodlust. I did think of Red being the "figurehead" the member that their Navy held up as a model for nationalism. Especially, given he was the only active offical member of the military. But, that Green was more of the person who did most of the day to day leadership. And might be a better candidate to unite the different personalities. I might end up making them co-leaders again.

I dont think I will likely need name help. I just need to use a English to Japanese (in the case of Orange maybe English to German) translator. I have to admit I just am a little lazy to deal with doing it till probably the weekend.

I'll see if I can scrounge up something on Japanese color coding to refine them. The main thing I still need is a specialty, possibly jungle and/or amphibious warfare (given that was probably the 2 of the main likely enviroments they would be experienced in) Note: Although amphibious might encroach on the Waterboys' team.

Better use Japanese. The only change between german and english is the spelling.
Of course you could call her Apfelsine (a old word for the fruit orange, meaning literally "comes from China"), but that would just sound awfull...

    Number: 5 (but see below)

The teams of the Squadron Squad are made up of specialized mercenaries in a wide variety of fields (espionage, assassination or weapon masters as possible fields) who rent themselves out for villainy. There are five squadron entries that make up the Squad -- but if you design an entry, you may list as many members for that particular squadron as you like. When designing a squadron, please also list what field they specialize in. As per Death Tribble's earlier idea,I would like to reserve this to one squadron per poster. People who post one squadron can post another after three days if the thread has become idle.
    Thus far, we have:
    1001st Airborne
    Waterboys
    Fulminata
    Nijinosenshi

The last squadron in the Squad is Recon-In-Force, literally the grunts and ground-pounders.

Sarge-Major is the head of RIF, calling most of the shots and interfacing with the leaders of the other Squadrons. His leadership ability seems to confer a significant paranormal boost to his men's ability to hit, coordinate attacks, and otherwise fight better than normal.
Grond-Pounder is a three-armed brick, given his powers thanks to a serum derived from Grond's blood stolen from PRIMUS. He's nowhere near as strong as Grond, but also nowhere near as bestial.
Reece is a softspoken stealth-battlesuited reconnaissance specialist and sniper.
Leatherneck is a pseudo-brick martial artist, specializing in knife and unarmed fighting. He's also a heavy drinker and wild party guy.
Grunts is a duplicator, able to create several dozen versions of himself -- all of whom are effectively mute. (They can make noises, but nothing approximating speech.) Each duplicate comes armed and equipped as a US Marine from various points in history -- including the near future.

    ******

    Next team: Boston Commons
These six individuals are all seemingly regular people (so no visually obvious mutations, big battlesuits, etc.) who decided to use their newfound paranormal powers for crime and self-advancement. Their theme is their name -- each member either has to reflect Boston in some way (history, geography, famous Bostonian, etc.), or somehow involve or play upon "common" (though their names don't have to include the words "Boston" or "Common").

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The leader of the Commons actually has not revealed himself (they're assuming their leader is a he) to the others, but is a powerful psychic in terms of mental "suggestion", mental defense and even flashes of precognition at times. Admittedly, not knowing if you're already under the mental influence of someone can be a touch unnerving (the rest of the Commons aren't actually being controlled), but their leader is one heck of a tactician and planner. Mind you though, the leader is a bit ambitious if you know Boston crime lore, what with the alias of "Whitey".

The Common Man has developed the ability to teleport any version of himself from any other universe (essentially duplication) for help.

He can also temprarily move into another of the universes, and return in another location (by moving to the parallel dimension's corresponding location)

Note: Actually thought of this watchingThe Universe on the other History Channel right now, the team name made the naming easier.

    Gerrymander

Gerrymandering was first coined in the Boston gazette after Governor Gerry began redrawing voting districts to favour his own party. So the Gerrymander has the ability to influence destiny itself to benefit his colleagues. Consequently he is often around gambling areas when money needs to be made or around courts when the group needs people to get off. And he great thing is that no-one seems to know how he does it.

Reconnaissance and team tactics for the BC is handled by Sense, a remarkably perceptive young woman. In addition to her apparent ability to use any form of enhanced perception, she also has uncanny abilities to slip past people unnoticed, and notice weak spots in non-Hardened targets. If she touches one of her teammates, that individual can also share her senses as well as take advantage of the target's weak points in combat as long as physical contact with Sense is maintained. A final (though not well known) skill is her strong deductive reasoning. She can take a number of seemingly disparate facts and notice what they have in common and follow this through to the most logical conclusions. She claims that is is from this "common sense", and not her enhanced senses, that she takes her name.

Note: Nickname of Ted Williams for those not baseball inclined.

    New team:

Sorry, but this is going to have to be a large team (but no way around it). But, it should be a somwhat simple theme.
