Hex Cardstock/ Papercraft Scenery and Miniatures

After talking about this in another thread and seeing Wolf's thread from a year ago. I though that I would start a thread where we could put together links to companies that sell Papercraft/ Cardstockcraft scenery and miniatures. Most of what I am going to link are companies that sell the PDF's for you to print to your heart's content.

    Buildings Roads etc.

http://www.ebblesminiatures.com/shop/index.php Stuff seems to be mostly based on the Aliens movie

http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/ Worldworks games sells lines for Fantasy, SciFi and Modern in many scales. Some of the older models are difficult to assemble. The newer lines are created to be more beginner friendly and VERY modular. Their stuff looks spectacular
    .
http://www.fingerandtoe.com/index.htm Finger and Toe: Kind of blocky models both 28mm fantasy and SciFi

http://fatdragongames.com/ Fat Dragon Games: Has a really nice set of Modern that includes hexes (one of the few that does so), 1'sq and 1.5'sq. The models look pretty nice and seem to be easy to assemble. They also have nice Fantasy and SciFi sets. BTW many of FD's models use PDF layers to add or subtract details (ie a bazaar stand where you can turn on various wares showing)

http://www.rpgnow.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=466 Microtactix. Has nice city scapes (both clean and new and more dirty looking models), SciFi Stuff including a Stargate, and a bunch of other stuff.

http://www.herogames.com/forums/show...80#post1794880 Wolf's post from '09 with more linky goodness.

    Figurines, Standups

http://www.pigames.net/store/default.php?cPath=27 Precis Intermedia. They make a line called "Disposable Heroes" you can buy the hard version (ie preprinted) or get the PDF and print your own. For some sets they have "Customizable sets" that allow you to choose only the minis that you want to print (in color or without), and if you want to print multiples of a certain mini. You can customize and DL again and again. The artwork looks decent.

http://www.warehouse23.com/search.cg...heroes&x=0&y=0 SJ Games' Cardboard Heroes. They don't seem to sell PDF's of these, but these are the grand daddy of the stand up cardboard figurines. They used to have the licence to sell Champions cardboard Heroes (Some of which might be in the Modern Set). The artwork is pretty good. There's a fantasy set, Modern and there are sheets that come with mapsets like Mall of the Dead.

http://onemonk.com/Home.html One Monk Miniatures, used to be a pay for PDF site, but now is a labor of love for the creator. The site does take donations, so if you are DLing a ton please contribute. His models are kind of cartoony, but nicely done. What I like are the bases that can be used for many other standups and have base patterns that match the ground tiles from a bunch of building companies like Worldworks and Fat Dragon.

    ---
From Spence and Steamteck we have Arion games. They make cardboard standups for a variety of genres. The artwork looks like it was computer rendered, so it's pretty nice looking. They are available on Drive thru RPG Arion Games on Drive Thru Games/RPG Now

    ---
As I start to build stuff I'll try to post some pictures. I want to get some modern and some Fantasy buildings together for the games that we run. I really want to get some modern stuff together for when we play champions and other modern games.

I use the Precis Intermedia stand ups and think they are pretty good. Especially for the price. Arion Games (http://www.arion-games.com) also does a line that is pretty good.

Thanks for putting this together in one place - these are really cool and I'm always forgetting the links.

    Fat Dragon Games at
    http://www.rpgnow.com/index.php?cPath=587

Primarily scenery, they have tiles sets, simplified sets, and full blown 3d sets. They use modular techniques, traps can be dropped in (you don't have to pull a section of corridor or leave a tell tale). Since 2007 or 2008 they've been using the layers of the pdfs to allow you to change the textures on the models.

    Pepakura Designer at:
    http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/

This is for more advanced users; if you have 3d files that you want to make a paper model out of, this program is for you! Some 3d models may need to be tweaked before you import them into pepakura (ask anyone at the 405th). At the scales most gamers use, this is most useful for scenery and vehicles.

I ran across this recently: http://www.toposolitario.com/workshop/index.html

Litko has some great stuff, I use several items for wargaming.

For paper mini's I use the stands from Precis Intermedia where I got my first paper mini's. I have three colors and way more stands than I will ever need.

At least until I manage to lose them...
