Someone told me you're not that far, actually. I personally live about 15 minutes from the border in North Chicago. Our game is 30 or so minutes south of me. *shrug* The Faire is pretty lame, actually. Been there a few times, mostly because the wife and kids like to shop there. Some of the shows are pretty entertaining, though. *shrug* Its kind of hit or miss.

The problem is getting there through the interstate. With light traffic it took me 1:20 to get to the Faire last weekend on Saturday morning. And traffic can be a real hit or miss situation here in Chicagoland.

I live in Lombard (over by Yorktown). It takes me about 25 - 30 minutes to get to the game in Glenview. I left last night at 7:30p and arrived at 8:03p. So depending on where you are at in Wheaton, it's only about another 10 or 15 minutes from me.

Two people in my gaming group also live in Lombard. Takes me about 20-30 minutes to get to their house. I'm in NW Wheaton. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to the interstate (take your pick, 88 or 355). So I guess my question would be when do you game? Saturdays are the only good day that works for me.

I haven't heard of Pathfinder. But I played Shadowrun before from an earlier edition. Are there any openings?

I've even got a gaming venue available in Champaign.
yeah I game there...Armored Gopher is a great place...now with new comfy chairs, complete with local con history!
let me know when your gonna make it to the gopher again sometime...I'll meet ya there.

Pathfinder is Paizo taking D&D 3.5 and continuing on with it in its own way. A few revisions, some additions, but nothing too different. Decent prices for books with good amounts of content to price. We're playing 4th edition Shadowrun, and I'm not sure that we have any extra space in that group. I'll ask, but we're at 7 total thus far, which is a pretty big group for me. Perhaps PM me and we can discuss it more.

Sigh. Wish I was going to be there for that. ....rayguns and rocketpacks sounds like fun.
