As my Profile indicates, I've been RPG'ing a very long time, and playing Champions since its inception. I've only recently gotten into 6th Edition and just a couple nights ago upgraded Hero Designer to it. I'll be posting queries on building power ideas soon enough; started one already, actually. But this post is to try and find Champions players in the Denver-Metro area. ... (What does "Metro" mean anyway? I mean, how far from the downtown-city center-proper do ya gotta be to NOT be in the Metro area? Is this measured in hexes, inches or meters? HA. Yards. Not!)
Anyway, my friend and I seem to be the last vestiges of our ersatz gaming group, especially to play Champions. Everyone else is involved with educational bodies or female bodies... you know the whole milieu: older gamers meet younger gamers, younger gamers grow up and leave the (gaming) nest. Philistines!

So anyhoo, I'm looking for new blood (yo!) to fill the gaping void that is my gaming room (its nice, too). So, I pull forth The HERO Signal!: Sight Group Images, +/-4 to PER Rolls, Area Of Effect (30m Radius; +1), MegaScale (1m = 10 km; +1 1/4), Cannot alter scale (-1/4) (66 Active Points); OAF: Flaregun, Fragile (-1 1/4), 1 Continuing Charge lasting 20 Minutes (Recovers Under Limited Circumstances: Ya buy a new gun ya cheapskate!; -1 1/2), Limited Power: Only to attract HERO gamers (and cause car accidents) (-1).
Ooog, my retinas...

You might want to send a PM to Teh Bunneh or bigdamnhero. I met Bunneh and his lovely bunny wife years ago, and they are nice people. bigdamn I've known since college off and on, and he is a great guy. They are also both big into Genghis Con every year. Good luck.

Genghis Con is coming up this weekend (Feb 17-20) at the Red Lion Hotel in south Denver (in the Tech Center area). I'll be there, running a plethora of Hero games, as will my loveleh bunneh wife, BigDamnHero and a few others. Stop in and say Hi if you can. I'm sorry guys -n- gals but it looks like I wont be able to make it to Genghis Con. I hope there's some other way we can meet up and expand both our gaming circles.

And seriously, what is UP with this Image Verification? Do I have to do that with every posting?

You have to verify until you reach a certain number of posts in the Gaming Area of the boards.

Tacticon is in August and is another gaming convention in Denver (also denver gamer). Plus you can find gamers at Star Con, Nan Desu Kon, and Mile Hi Con. We're flush with Gamers here in the Denver Metro.

(and, Metro is an urban area that defines towns that serve a primary city either as suburbs or exburbs, or industry).

Too bad. I heard about some of the games that were being run, and I was a little jealous. I think that the Image Verification ends after you've been around for a while. They are just trying to keep the spammers out. One of the mods can probably give you the exact numbers involved.

You all are only mentioning Cons. But I was hoping to get a dialogue going, perhaps going to email, leading up to us gaming together in a personal setting, like my friends do ... when we can get together. Surely gamers have come together like this, using the forum as a springboard.

What is this, "You have at least 10 posts outside of the NGD forum."?
Is THIS the NGD forum (what's NGD mean?) and how do you post -outside- of it?
