... After which time, PC death seems worthwhile.

Update: our resident Namek has died. Amazing what difference a single Activation Roll for Ablative Armor can make (in true DB style, most body armor is Ablative). So everyone familiar with Dragonball knows what means: Afterlife training! At least, until he's revived.

That said, one of our saiyans (it's a Dragonball campaign, so you know there will be more than one) went Super Saiyan because of it (they were friends and training partners since childhood).

Also, playing Skyrim music seems to make my players roll better. I need to put it on my iPod ASAP.

The best game session I ever played in was an ambush from goblins that led directly into an orc ambush.

I, a duelist, had 4 pistols, a blunderbuss, a metal helmet, all the armor & the only shield. My character was going insane from all the trauma.

The horses were dead. The elven exorcist took off down the road with a DNPC. The charlatan was pretending to be dead.

At one point I was given the deus ex machina option of getting KOd & left for dead like the charlatan, or take no damage from a killing blow. In either case there was no going back. I chose to take no damage & continue fighting to the death.

That was when the first 3 orcs showed up. It was a miracle of dice finish at the end. No more orcs showed after the first 3. =P

I'm simply a horrible GM and player.

    That's not comforting.

    My achilles heel.
Systems I use: D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, Star Wars SAGA, Star Wars Revised Core Rules, GURPS 4th Edition, Shadowrun 4th Edition, Monte Cook's World of Darkness, New World of Darkness, Spycraft 2.0, d20 Modern, Alternity, Savage Worlds, HERO 6th Edition, and Mutants & Masterminds 2nd Edition.

Quit bashing other systems: it isn't doing you any favors.
