Dont get me started, when the chips are down and I need a good roll, it aint gonna happen.

Sometimes, after I use my hand sanitizer at work, I also say "also good as a salad dressing." One little kid almost believed me; of course, I told her I was just kidding.

153a. This goes double if they mean this both in AND out of game...

    155. GM's who allow any character type into a game because they don't have any real story to start with.

    156. Gaming groups where the loudest yeller win.

    157. GM's who normally foment paranoia blaming the players for being paranoid.

(Note: I am one of those guys who is horrible at dice rolling. In an Axis and Allies game, I could only hit with my transports. For those that don't know the game, transports can only fire defensively.)

I've seen GMs do this because they want to see what happens. Sometimes it was brilliant, more often not, but you never know until you try.

There is nothing worse in all of gaming than being a good strategist who can't roll worth a damn losing to a poor strategist who rolls well. It is injustice incarnate, and that is precisely what happened the first time I played as Russia against Germany.

They called me the "god of dice death" in college (and grad school) because of my abysmal luck with the dice.

I seem to recall reading that Napoleon allegedly valued luck in his officers as much as skill.

Of course, considering how it all ended up for him, that may not be the best comparison.

    158. Watch out for the folks that are using the game as their only form of Social Interaction with other people. This tends to lead into:

159: Beware the last minute Canceler/Host that "Doesn't really feel the game tonight, but we can all just Hang Out and watch a DvD or something...." now that everyone's shown up books and dice in hand.....
