    And...I'm Back (ish)

    Hey all!

With the bad news about the downturn with DOJ comes some good news regarding the issues that I've been having (preventing me from providing support for the past months). For the foreseeable future, I'll be back on the clock for updates and support of HD.

As we get things spooled back up, please feel free to post any perceived bug reports or feature requests. As always, I would request that you limit said reports/requests to one per post in order to keep things clean and manageable on my side.

I've heard that some folks with expired contracts have been having problems with the system using the expiration date of the first contract they purchased, rather than the last when determining the most recent update to provide -- that issue has been fixed (hopefully).

If you're having any other problems, feel free to post a response here (or start a new thread). For my own sanity (what remains of it), I will likely not be spending too much time sifting through old posts to determine if there are existing issues that need to be dealt with.

Welcome back! (I'm guessing the slight changes in the forum are also a result?)

Nah...those were just from a routine update (we were due).

Welcome back Simon. By the way HD still does not wake me up in the morning, shower me or make me coffee. When can we expect these features to be added

I had actually had those ready for the last update, but had to pull them at the last minute due to a slight misunderstanding on the part of HD on the "make me coffee" command. It was....not a pretty thing.

Welcome back! You return to a troubled land as a beacon of hope, like a HERO of old. Yea, verily, a Champion among the weary warriors of the forums.

(I got to write "yea, verily". Heh!"

As far as enhancements, I'd like to resubmit my request to have the background information for characters load to the PDF.

    Sounds vaguely like Star Wars....

It is a dark time for the Forums. Although the Death Star has been destroyed, Imperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy. Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters led by Luke Skywalker has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. The evil lord Darth Vader, obsessed with finding young Skywalker, has dispatched thousands of remote probes into the far reaches of space...

The PDF output is largely out of my hands....and given that the primary focus of it was to match the character sheet output from the rulebook, I suspect that there's not going to be much push to implement that.

Welcome back, Simon. It's good to know you're back.

One option I would like to see would be a Skill List for Everyman skills, where every skill added to that list is automatically designated as such, which would be useful for making campaign prefabs.

    Already there:

    1. Make sure that Cost Multipliers are enabled.
    2. Create a list and assign a Cost Multiplier of 0

Everything added to that list will be free.

Glad you are back. HD is a very functional piece of software. I have been developing code professionally since '84 - writing code since early 70's.

I''d like to ask for Hero Designer to let me know when there's a Red Spy in the base. I'm tired to getting backstabbed while entering character information.
