Counting those NGD posts

I remember waaaaay back in the mists of time that NGD posts used to count to people's total post count on the forums. Is it worth re-instating that under the banner of "encouraging the community"? Hopefully it's a really easy change (toggle a flag?) and might encourage lurkers to post more and thus help the Hero community.

I think that the reason it was changed was that it did encourage people to post... in NGD, when what was desired was encouraging people to post in the HERO System gaming related portions of the web site.

NGD activity seems to have survived the change quite well!

Yeah, I think NGD really exists more as a safety valve for helping keep off-topic posts out of the other areas. In that regard, it's useful for the company to have it here, but I'm not sure they'd really gain anything by encouraging people to post there more...

FWIW, I'm good either way.

I've seen how an obsession with post counts can affect behavior on other boards, so I have no problems with how it's handled here.
