I'd toss in a couple of Hundred bucks on a Kickstarter Project for a 1 Book version of HERO 6E.

I'd also be interested in a smaller, "6e in one book." 250-350 pages, no color needed, soft cover. Basically "6e Concise" with all of the rules but fewer options and reduced verbiage, examples and exposition. We've talked about this before, and I don't want to harp on it, but if HG is interested in such a project I thought this feedback might be useful. A few starting examples like a basic party and adventure would be groovy, but not needed (I figure a free, short PDF download might actually be cheaper for HG).

That's what I'd like to see too. They could also save a lot of pages by taking out the bad artwork that doesn't do much to illustrate the powers or rules.

Unfortunately I'm not in a position to donate to a start-up, but I'd definitely buy a copy of the book Gojira described.

Probably 80 to 100 dollars, depending on the exact product description.

I'd be the first on the list to toss cash at the 1 Book minus the crappy art and crappier glossy pages option. Even Softback (especially since my Pulp HERO book which gets abused to all hell and has even been under water has held up better then my shiny spiffy 6e Hardcovers... :P )....

I do, because I'm a firm believer in if the Demand, does not tell the Supply what they liked and disliked about said product, and their desire for the next, in as short and concise of terms as possible, then we never get anything fixed....

It's not even a matter of pricing for me either. On top of the 1 copy of everything plus PDF bundle for myself I picked up another 2 sets of the complete rules plus 8 basic books and 2 more APG's for my overseas Care Package. I want something more along the lines of FReD in layout, consistency, and most important, Durability and Functionality in use and I want the mighty fine and vastly improved 6e Rules Set in that format. A One Book, Tough as Nails format, in black and white, and on Paper I can take a highlighter to and put tabs on. Spent a Lot of money on HERO product since Champions 1st Ed, so if I sound snarky in the commentary, I've paid for the right.

Okay...so, how much would you put on your credit card in a KickStarter project to get the villians book 3 published? Just asking for a number; I want a lot of things to exist out there that I wouldn't pay the necessary price to see cause I have other things I have to do with the money...so what we need to figure out is not so much "How many people want a thing" but rather "How many people will commit tangible up front money to pay to get a thing made"?

ditto 50 to 100 here as well for just the book copy here. I have every item in print since 78. me spending money on HERO isn't a question.

I see...sort of a 'no frills' engineering text/reference book approach to putting the whole core system into one tough, durable document. Wonder what that would cost? Maybe drop the art and put all the tables in the back....

Somewhat familiar with the printing industry..... Only thing I'm changing in my dream version is removing that extra set of covers, going back to industrial strength pages instead of glossy paged drek, and of course, Black and White. If Anything, that's gonna be cheaper. If I wanted to remove all art the layout expense could end up being a tad more but the end result would still be cheaper. Especially if it goes to a new printer..... Had to dig through 14 sets of 6e rules to find one (and it was mostly the vol 1's) that didn't have a bubbled up cover and or tons of other cosmetic damage to it, though as it turns out that has been futile and I ended up having to make book covers for both my books since I couldn't bear to watch the covers disintegrate even more......

My 1st Ed through 4th ed books are in better shape then my 6e books and those guys have been on four continents and 20 plus years of travel. 5th Ed still solid but the cover is all dinged up and dog chewed but it's in one piece yet.....never got a 5th revised since i had all the fixes anyway....

So I still want my 6e Uni-Book of Old School Awesome... The degradation is so bad on my 6e books right now I'm tempted to rip off the covers, drill the pages and set some D rings but that's such a pain in the backside to do correctly....
