Overlapping Psych Complications--how does that work?
I've noticed, sometimes, that a character may have 2 (or more) psychological complications which complement or overlap each other. To the extent this happens, and taking the extreme case(where a character has 2 or more overlapping Total commitment psych complications), how is this resolved? If the character has to try to go against both complications, do they make a single EGO roll, with the penalties being additive/cumulative(and/or, in the case of two strong or moderate complications, is it then treated as one total or strong complication for purposes of the roll)? Or do they make a separate roll for each complication?
This might also come up in the context of "psychic surgery", where a mentalist might deliberately give a target overlapping/complementary complications, in order to cement their control and make it much more difficult to resist their commands(e.g., "loves X unconditionally" and "obeys X without question").
thanks.
It is unclear why the bear, which was wearing ice skates at the time, attacked Mr Potapov. The bear was later shot by police. Deadly attacks are rare in the country's circuses, which often train bears to wear skates and play ice hockey.
