An example in the export of the Absorption power does not include the Energy Type option so it is unclear, especially with a Compound Power what type of energy is absorbed.
2 1) Absorption 4 BODY, Absorption As A Defense (Resistant; +1) plus Absorption 4 BODY, Absorption As A Defense (Resistant; +1) 0
The first one in this example is "energy" and the other is "physical".
