    Double clicking a HDC file

I told my windows to open HDC files with HD2 when I double click on it. While it does so, and the character I clicked on does appear on the list of open characters, it seems to have a little trouble handling the request. I had 2 characters that were still open from last time I had used HD2, and the program had to be convinced (after clicking back and forth between the open files a few times) to display the character that I wanted... and also I ended up with two copies of the same character open, something that I was not able to reproduce the standard way (i.e. opening HD2 from it's desktop link, then opening a character, then trying to open the character again and ending up with just a single copy).

I know it is not a big deal, but it would just be handy to be able to double click on the HDC file that you want to see, have HD2 boot up and display the file you clicked as the "front" character (if there are others that were still open from a previous session). And either add the ability to open more than one copy of the same character under all circumstances, or clean up how it handles what I was trying to do above and just have one copy of the character load up.

I hope that all makes sense?

I don't think that adding that type of thing is an easy add. It can be done with a few different round about ways, but from my experiance with programming to do it right it is a bit of a longer process.

I do agree that being able to open them with a doubleclick would be nice. Also, the character package, with multiple characters in it, would be real nice.

OK...I think that I have things fixed now.

If you double click on a character which would be automatically loading when HD starts anyway, HD will not "double load" that character. It will, however, set that character to be "active" when the application comes up.

Hopefully this should fix the issue.
