JakSpade
Re: Pulp Hero Resources I can't help but love Zeppelins... I don't know why. Maybe because they remind me of submarines of the sky. Well, as I was browsing RPGNow.com, I came across this Thrilling Adventures module, which has three adventures, one with zeppelins. They say it comes with detailed plans of four zeppelins. I'm still kinda hesitant to buy it, since it's mostly for d20 Modern. Mayb ein the next day or so... From RPGNow: THRILLING TALES: Zeppelin Adventures Nothing epitomizes the pulp era like the zeppelin. In a world of economic depression, totalitarianism, war, and a creeping sense of wider conflict to come, the hulls of the rigid airships seemed to reflect everything good and noble in mankind. They were human potential realized. Simply put, they were just damned cool. Zeppelin Adventures brings the majesty and glamour of airships to your d20 pulp campaign. This 60-page PDF, written by Jackson Kuhl, features three pulse-pounding adventures: * Operation Zephyr, a straight-forward action adventure mixed with light intrigue; * Ghouls of the Gasbags, a brief horror/suspense adventure meant to be played in a single gaming session; and * Where Zeppelins Dare, an espionage adventure in the spirit of spy-novelist Alistair MacLean. In addition, we present game information on airships, including full D20 System stats on five different zeppelins, cut-away diagrams, full deckplans and more! Everything you need to add airships to your pulp D20 game can be found in this book. Take to the skies! Later, Jak

gojira
Re: Pulp Hero Resources Jack London: writer, photographer. In the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake, Jack London worked for Collier's magazine. He covered the devastation caused by the quake, taking pictures, and interviewing people, as well as giving his own first hand account. He's a bit pre-pulp, but fun never the less. I can't really think of a better pulp archetype than a traveling writer and photographer. More on his photography at the San Francisco Chronical. There's always Wikipedia too. Cairo Moon is one of the SPARKS set of paper-minis-as-fonts sold by Cumberland Games & Diversions. It covers the Pulp Hero period, though there are several other equally as cool sets. There may just be enough of a market to produce another Sourcebook in 2007-08. Well, I'm sure we'll plan some for 2007. If the ones we release in 2006 don't sell well enough, we'll take 'em off and substitute something else, like we did with the SH line. As much as I love Pulp stuff, it's got to pull its weight in the accounts receivable department like everything else.
