Glupii
Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects I like one and two, but three sounds like a lot of work. Whoa QM Actually it is less than you might think. I purchased a small roll of Steel Rubber from Renisance (I think I mangled that name) Gaming website for the game board. I have been building paper buildings and props and walls and such for a while now. So I just need to cut the thin magnetic sheets (or some of the dozens of gathered magnates I collected ) and glue them to the bottom. As for my miniatures, the biggest part will be putting the hex bases under them all. I purchased my first batch of them from the same site for a very good price. I purchased a roll of strip magnet from a parts house and it is the right thickness to fit under the bases. Again it is just a matter of attaching it under the bases. Actually converting all the magic items and coming up with Random Trasure generation tables like I got used to in the d20 system is far more work in my opinion. Once it is done, I hope to make it available for others to use if they so desire.

Lord Liaden
Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects To tell you the truth, I'm unlikely to be doing anything more with VOICE for some time. In my current CU-based campaign the "Oriental criminal organization" role is being filled by the Cult of the Red Banner, which I've been fleshing out, including cannibalizing some of my VOICE material. I suppose the Red Banner elaboration could count as a gaming project. I posted some of my ideas for it to the boards in the past; I might as well link them here for any interested party who didn't see them before: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=465796 http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=470341 I may put up more about it in future if time permits. However, I'm adapting published characters from other HERO books, so I'm wary of posting too many details here.
John T
Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects After having watched the first 9 episodes (of 13, IIRC) of the anime Aquarian Age, that's VERY liable to be shoehorned into my gaming-brain for the forseeable future, though it's unlikely I'll be able to finish THAT project 'til early next year. BTW, it probably goes without saying that I recommend this show, and would even to many non-anime fans. VERY adaptable to Hero, with several interesting twists with regard to character and power builds. John T

Mantis
Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects - Resources Resources for Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects <20d6 snip> Mantis’s “Villain Organization†Hmmm, I guess some more detail is required, huh? Genre: Champions/Dark Champions. Organisation: Genetech. Background: Genetech (pronounced Jenny-tek, similar to "Genetic", not Jean-tek) is a joint venture between Hudson City University (HCU), University of Vibora Bay (UVB) and San Angelo Institute of Technology (SAIT). Its charter is to extend the genetics research performed at the three universites, and ultimately develop commercial applications for the results. Each university contributes equally, but some contribute more in one area than others according to their strengths (e.g. SAIT provides most of the high-end computing power). Publically, this work involves such things genetic modification of crops and research into genetic medicine, a broad category including treatments for inherited genetic conditions (pre- and post-partum), degenerative conditions, cancer, and viral illnesses (ranging from the common cold to HIV/AIDS and Ebola). These things are a cause of some negativity from certain sectors of the community (GM Crops being a good example). Further, those things that aren't seen as negative (such as a cure for cancer) are valuable. It is no surprise that the organisation seeks to keep a low profile and receives little publicity in spite of their position on the blleding edge of genetics. This also goes a long way to explaining why security is such an issue for the organisation, and why they have their own security arm to protect their installations, which are scattered throughout the nation (and overseas). In fact, their security arrangements border on paranoid, and the organisation has created a myriad of divisions, some of which have been split off into renamed, wholly-owned subsidiaries. In fact, only a select few senior managers know the true extent - and aims - of the organisation. Behind the public face of the organisation is a second level involved in research into other more sinister areas. Research into genetic modification of humans to boost physical capacities to Olympic levels and beyond, even the creation of meta-humans. There are even rumors of involvement in research within Area 51. All of which has one aim - make as much money as possible, by whatever means. Campaign Use: Although the organisation will attract some negative attention from people opposed to genetic engineering, overall it is regarded positively in the wider community due to its work in areas such as the treatment of cancer. However, its access to high-tech equipment and possession of commercially valuable information will make it a target of thieves and agents of both subtle and not-so-subtle means [several villain teams target Genetech regularly; their write-ups will be included]. All this will keep their sizable and well-drilled security force busy, but the organisation is not beneath seeking help from external agencies to deal with threats [a write-up of the agents, their weapons and tactics will be included]. It is also trying to develop its own meta-human force, although with mixed results so far. Several meta-humans' origins can be traced back to the "dark side" of Genetech [write-ups to be included with the organisation]. Characters who manager to discover this, and through further investigation uncover more of the seamy side of the organisation, will have to face a dilemma, as exposure of this side will bring down the clean side of Genetech with it, as currently only this side is generating funds and keeping the company afloat. This would bring an end to a number of promising lines of medical research. P.S.S.: Badger Badger Badger http://www.badgerbadgerbadger.com/ I was partial to the Football Badgers myself, but the movie no longer plays.
