Genres to avoid --

Logan's Run Hero (especially if your character happens to be 29 or so)

Soilent Green Hero (Still people after all these years!)

Silent Running Hero (If Bruce Dern doesn't kill you, he's just going to blow up the Valley Forge anyway...)

Failsafe Hero (Mutually Assured Destruction, anyone?)

Chinese Dramatic Cinema Hero (Everybody has to die at the end of each story arc for some reason or another...)

On The Beach Hero (What's the point of it all, humanity is just waiting to die, after all...)

Saw Hero (High EGO is an absolute must for characters while Regeneration powers are most certainly not allowed, but things are going to get messy...)

Goth Rave Hero (Yeah, it's all pretty pointless -- especially the bit with the makeup. Clothes are pretty cool, though.)

Roman Galley Slave Hero (That drum really gets annoying after a while...)

Roto-Rooter Hero (Things are going to get sh---- Well, you know.)

Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous)

Hi I'm back after a long hiatus from this board in case someone noticed...(which I doubt)

I' d definitely avoid:

  • Job Hero ( I do that every day)
  • Husband Hero ( same as above)
  • Soap Opera Hero (After everyone has "bedded" every relatives and friends around the story get a little boring....)
  • Trafic Jam Hero ( Unless you take off the "no killing" limitation...)

I'm quite sure that I could come up with something else....

Ciao

Andrea

It might look something like this.

I've taken courses in children's literature, I've read The Cunning Little Vixen (shocking story that it was) and still this astonished me.

"I don't wish to be cruel, you know, although I'm determined to kill and rob them all."

Lucius Alexander

The palindromedary rather likes the songs...

Soon after that it met a cat

“Now give to me your purse

Or I’ll shoot you through,

And stab you too,

And kill you, which is worse!

Worse, worse, worse,

And kill you, which is worse!

Geisha Hero (another Porn Hero subgenre supplement)

Excuse me for being a tad anal here, but that would actually be Baishun Hero. Geisha were entertainers, not prostitutes. Baishun were the prostitutes working at "Reed Houses" that were always run by a woman who was once a Baishun herself (Sorry. I've been reading Sengoku.)

Blade of the Immortal told me much the same. :D

I stand corrected.

Chuck Norris & Mr. T ... together ... "The point where too much awesomeness almost destroyed the world". ;)

FROM IMDB: :D

Joint Ventures

Sorry, there appear to be no titles for which

* Chuck Norris (Actor)

* Mr. T (Actor)

are both/all credited.

thank goodness it never happened.

Litterbox Hero

Politically Correct Hero (remember characters don't have disadvantages, they just might be "differently advantaged").

:)

Politically Correct Hero

Impulsively Random Special Needs = Accidental Change

Experienced = Age

Health and Welbeing Special Need Requirements = Dependence

Carer = Dependent NPC

Appearance Enhancements = Distinctive Features

Anger issues = Enraged/Berserk

Needed = Hunted

Differently Physical (or Physically Challenged) = Physical Limitation

Individual Outlook = Psychological Limitation

Socially Advantaged = Reputation

Competitive = Rivalry

Socially Challenged = Social Limitation

Environmentally Challenged = Susceptibility

Differently Lucky = Unluck

Differently Invulnerable = Vulnerability

And another idea occured-

Game Publisher Hero
