CKC: Double-dipping?

Hi Steve,

 

Long-time listener, first-time caller (I always wanted to say that).

 

In CKC, I notice several characters take limitations (such as OIF and Activation) on both their Multipower and individual slots. Is this legal? I can see how Charges could be different, but if the battlesuit is OIF, wouldn't the laser blaster be automatically considered OIF? Are the cost savings applied individually to both the framework AND slots?

That's legal. It's specifically described on page 5E 207.
