Susano
Re: Hero Goes to the Movies (or TV Shows)! Limitation Occurs refers to how often the limitation actually shows up in game. Limitation Impairs refers to how much the limitation impairs the character in game. And, as always, a disadvantage that doesn't affect the character is worth no points. With something like "one kidney", if I didn't expect it to come up in play regularly enough to mean anything, I'd make a note in the background section but give no points. Ultimately, how much a disad is worth comes down to the individual GM and campaign. This is my impression as well. I just don't see one kidney being a Physical Limitation that's going to be worth points on the same scale as one arm, one leg, or one eye. casualplayer
Re: Hero Goes to the Movies (or TV Shows)! Has anyone really verified that Locke still has only one kidney? If he's healed back his ability to walk he may have grown a new one. But if he does have only one still he would have problems processing poisons and certain types of food would make him ill. Just a thought but I might just turn it into a Psych Lim clash of Seeks/Craves Father Figures and Resents Patronizing Behavior.
Sketchpad
Re: Hero Goes to the Movies (or TV Shows)! I agree that missing a kidney wouldn't be as debilitating as a missing eye or some such ... does it count as a disad? I would say that if it's caused complications in the character, then sure. As far as the island lim of -1, since the campaign occurs pretty much on the island, then I'd knock it down to -1/2. There really hasn't been any proof that I know of so far that he's going off the island any time soon. As far as the AK: Jungle bit ... I would almost fold that into Survival. As for exporting, if you're using HD v3, there's one of the export templates in the export menu that allows you to post in CODE format. That's what we've been using. If you have any questions about it, feel free to toss me a PM and I'll see if I can walk you through

When he was approached by his birth mother one day at work, he was intriqued. His mother said he had no father, but Locke knew that was a lie. He hired an investigator to find his ftaher. The investigator returned with a name, Anthony Cooper. Locke went to see Cooper and the father and son bonded. Then Locke foundout that Cooper needed a kidney transplant. Locke offered Cooper his kidney. After the surgery, Locke awoke to realize that his father had left him. Cooper had set the whole meeting with Locke's mother up to "con" his son out of his kidney. This began a downward spiral in Locke's life as he could never understand the reason his father would do that to him. Locke wandered around the country, doing many different jobs until a young man approached him. He said that his mother was going to marry a man who he did not trust and he wanted John to support him. John didn't understand why. The kids said that John had donated a kidney to the man. Locke's father had moved on to his next mark. Locke lied by saying that the donation was anonymous, and he didn't know Cooper. Then the boy wound up dead. Locke went to confront his father and was thrown out of an eight story window, by Cooper. Having his back broken, Locke spent three years in a wheelchair. Working at a box company, Locke prepared to go on a spiritual walkabout in Australia. Going to Sydney, Locke was denied the opportunity to go on the walkabout because of the wheelchair. Locke wound up on Ocenaic Flight 815 which crashed on a mysterious island. After the crash, amazingly Locke could walk. Locke became connected to the island and began searching to understand the mysteries of the island. POWERS/TACTICS John doesn't have any powers of his own, but the Island that he is on causes healing for the worst injuries... everyhthing from cancer to broken bones... the healing is much more rapid than off the island. Though the Island does not resurrect people(that we know of), it did heal the crippled John Locke. PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION John was lost before crashing on the Island. After the crash, John found himslef able to walk and alive again. His skills fit perfectly with the environment and he became a leader that the other survivors could look to for help. John knew the Island was special and he has continued to search to reveal the Island's mysteries. John believes that it is his destiny to be on the Island, that the Island brought him and the others there for a reason. John believes that this is what was supposed to happen. He is an evil wizard and alchemist, whose main goal in life is to destroy The Smurfs. He lives in a run down castle/hovel with this familiar Azrael, and from time to time, his apprentice Scruple. PERSONALITY Gargamel seems to have a personal vengeance against the Smurfs, and is constantly planning their demise, capture, and uses in potions and rituals. From time to time, Gargamel has a notion to eat them. Most notably however, he hopes to find the location of the Smurf village, and to use the Smurfs as an ingredient to make gold. Despite his hatred for Papa Smurf, he has had to work with him on occasion to battle a common evil, but after this compromise passes, he returns to his evil tricky ol' self. Gargamel created Sassette with magic, and sees her as her daughter, though she lives and plays with the smurfs. QUOTE "I hate those Smurfs!" POWERS/TACTICS Gargamel's powers center around his magical spells and potions, which always seem to be complex requiring many different foci. His pet Azrael follows most of his commands. More often than not, his plans are foiled by the Smurfs, his mischevious familiar, or his own bumbling bad luck. CAMPAIGN_USE In an less than serious game where the Smurfs or other fey appear, Gargamel would make a fun and bumbling antagonist. Roth
Re: Hero Goes to the Movies (or TV Shows)! These all look really good. But just to nit pick one thing. Sam Winchester should have some sort of brawling skill or martial art package. He's been shown to be a competent fighter and turned the tables on Dean in the first episode when Dean tracked him down and decided to test Sam by breaking in and attacking him. In an episode, Sam neutralize two SWAT member in full armor with one strike each, I understand the idea of giving more fighting skills to Dean, but still Sam isn't someone to be mess with. BTW, these are very nice write ups. Just trying to make suggestions to improved them.
