"Matrix" Sentinel build?

Re: "Matrix" Sentinel build?

Anyone made or seen a write-up for the sentinel squid-like robots in The Matrix movies? I'm thinking of a BBEG that's going to borrow liberally from that basic concept. (at least in gross physical form)

Well, I have not seen any precise write-up for sentinels but....How about

taking this (culled from a Dr Octopus write-up in the GNBORH):

Cost Powers END/Roll

47 Multipower (70 points); OIF robot arms, -1/2

7-m +40 STR; 1/2 END, +1/4 3 END

1-u Clinging; must be able to easily grip or damage material, -1/2

9-m 9"x2 NC Stretching; 0 END, +1/2 0 END

4-m +11" running; 1/2 END, +1/4 1 END

33 30 PD/ED armor; act. 10-, -1 1/4; OIF robot arms, -1/2

3 Extra Limbs; OIF

And merging it with parts from this from Surbrooks Stuff:

http://surbrook.devermore.net/adaptationsanime/m66.html

Such as:

Cost Powers & Skills

24 Internal Power Supply: Endurance Reserve (120 END, 12 REC)

Martial Arts: Hard-Wired Combat Skills

weapons

Maneuver OCV DCV Damage

5 Block +1 +3 Block, Abort

4 Dodge -- +5 Dodge, Affects All Attacks, Abort

5 Kick -2 +1 12d6 Strike

4 Punch +2 +0 10d6 Strike

5 Snap Kick /Punch +1 +3 8d6 Strike

23 Claws: HKA 2 1/2d6 (5d6+1 w/STR); Restrainable (-1/2), Reduced Penetration (-1/4), END 4

45 Robotic Body: Automaton (Takes No STUN (loses abilities when takes BODY))

15 Robotic Body: Does Not Bleed

39 Armored Body: Damage Resistance (13 PD/13 ED)

12 Heavy: Knockback Resistance -2"

45 Robotic Body: LS (Eating: Character does not eat; Immunity All terrestrial poisons and

chemical warfare agents; Immunity: All terrestrial diseases and biowarfare agents; Safe in

High Pressure; Safe in High Radiation; Safe in Intense Cold; Safe in Intense Heat; Safe in

Low Pressure/Vacuum; Self-Contained Breathing; Sleeping: Character does not sleep)

11 Robotic Legs: Leaping +6" (14" forward, 7" upward) (Accurate) 1

14 Robotic Legs: Running +7" (13" total) 1

15 Claws: Tunneling 2" through 5 DEF material; No Noncombat movement (-1/4) 2

6 Audio/Visual Sensors: +2 PER with all Sense Groups

12 Internal Radio: HRRP (Radio Group)

5 IR Filters: IR Perception (Sight Group)

It's a really rough cut and paste and needs some serious tweaking (such as

adding flight and such) but you can probably see where I am going....

Just my slightly more than $.02US. YMMV.

I smell what you're cooking. Since I'm not actually trying to build an exact replica of the sentinels that'll be more than enough to get a good start on it' date=' thanks.[/quote']

I'd love to see your finished version, if you'd be willing to post it here. :)

Re: "Matrix" Sentinel build?

... or is it 'my wife and my daughter'?? :)

My wish with the Matrix is how to create the 'jump into any individual, bring your stuff but shed your damage' thing. Transform, with side-effect? 'That person becomes baseline me with full memories, while my current person becomes themselves again, along with all the damage that's been done to me.'

I had a player who wanted to (eventually) do this; couldn't quite figure out how, though.

Probably have to be a form of possession, iwth major physical transform attached... perhaps even a mental and physical transform. the transform is bought to fade at a slow rate, but to end instantly when a) target dies, or B) the power is used on anyone else. All Agent Smith did is spend XP to buy off the limitations. ^_- (At least, I never saw any of his bodies turn back into people, though we may simply not have seen any of them die.)
