You know the GM has it in for you when...

...In your first adventure, you have to go toe to toe with Doctor Destroyer... and you're playing the PS238 RPG.

...Every enemy you face has Drain on resistant defenses (20d6 at least) and killing attacks (20d6 at least).

...The campaign's big-bad can not only kill you in one strike, but ressurect you and then kill you again, all in one action, just to rub it in that he's superior.

"Takofanes? Is that you, baby?"

Your Psychlims and DNPCs get played with at least twice a session, usually shortly after the opening scene of the smoking crater where your Base used to be, and right before your Vehicle explodes in a cloud of incandescent shrapnel.

Also, your Unluck gets triggered automatically on successful execution of a Dive For Cover manuver.

Really is there a better time for Unluck?

When you start a new campaign and the GM says so did you make two or three characters?

When answering just one he seems perplexed and responds with: "Well, this should be interesting."

Thanks for that mental image.

:drink: The goggles, they do nothing!

It's a common joke apparently for Takofanes to be in "relationships" or at one point, touched innappropriately.

But not like THAT kind of "touched innappropriately." :D

You really want to avoid his dominatrix.

And now back to the actual thread.

If he suddenly "remembers" that he is a running a Supers game and that your 100 CoC HERO character will be inadequate but he just makes you use him anyway.

He stripped your Galactic Champions character of his powers and insisted that he'll get them back in the course of the storyline... 3 years ago.

He convinces you to make a character with a bunch of cool Independent powers and when the session starts he says "Now!" and all the PC's attack and kill you character and take his stuff... in a Silver Age Supers campaign.

...the only person who gets off scott-free are characters run by the GM's SO/Spouse. And oh yeah' date=' they're in charge automatically.[/quote']

That's not having it out for you that's, um, ahem, "protecting the sanctity of marriage."

The G.M. informs all the other players (players that are not you) it is required for them to have a 5 point Rivalry: Professional (; Rival is As Powerful; Rival is a Player Character; Seek to Outdo, Embarrass, or Humiliate Rival; Rival Unaware of Rivalry)

It's never the obvious threats, its those little subtle ones where the G.M. does not appear to be the master villain.

Facing the villian, you ask for divine help and your god says "No Way! He's too powerful! You're on your own."

Doctor Destroyer is scared of the being you are facing.

You create a 1000 point character with all powers and the GM says "I wonder how long this one will last.

GM laughs evilly at odd times - that is almost all the time.

The Gm ignores all dice of yours and throws none of his own - or ignores the results. What he wants to happen, happens.
