Lord Liaden
Re: Champions Universe I have the PDF of the book, and IMHO it's very thorough, well organized, easy to read, and fascinating. Color is used effectively to highlight and distinguish various elements, not just for artwork... but I must say, the color art is good-to-gorgeous. DreadDomain
Re: Champions Universe I have to agree with the Lord. The book is well organized, easy on the eyes, the text flows and is entertaining and the artwork enhance the whole atmosphere. Very nice. I just realized that the back cover is missing from the PDF files though.

rjcurrie
Re: Champions Universe So, is this a campaign setting or more of a tool to assist in campaigns? Thanks, Kirk It's the official superhero setting for the HERO System. Steve's first post in this thread (the back cover text) gives a good summary of what it includes. Lord Liaden
Re: Champions Universe This book presents the default official campaign setting for virtually all the characters and organizations appearing in the Champions line of books. However, the setting incorporates nearly every concept and precedent from mainstream superhero comics, as well as examining how the existence of superhumans would impact history and society. So, any such campaign would likely find many things to crib from the book.
PamelaIsley
Re: Champions Universe I finally saw this book in person the other day and while I love the layout and the use of color, the artwork is . . . well below par. I was very disappointed after the art in the 6th edition Hero books was such a step up. Very disappointing.
