mattingly
BlackWyrm is proud to announce a new line of dry-erase starship maps, designed by Ryan Wolfe of Ki Ryn Studios. His starship work has been seen in the Serenity RPG, Battlestar Galactica RPG, and some BlackWyrm Games books as well. We'll be rolling out these starships one by one over the next several months, and we have three great ones to start you off. The Jo Lynn and the Gryphon are on 36" x 18" vinyl mats, and the larger Drake is 48" x 30".
AlHazred
Re: Starship Maps I loved this guy's work for Ki Ryn -- unlike many other, more Star Wars style, products I've never had any trouble using Ryan's stuff for my Traveller Hero game. In fact, the PCs are currently using one of his ship designs for their main ship.

Xavier Onassiss
Re: Starship Maps Those look absolutely gorgeous! Does anyone know if there are any deck plans in that style for "engines down" type starships? As beautiful as those are, they won't quite work for my campaign. mattingly
Re: Starship Maps That first one, the Jo Lynn, has rotating engines, a la Firefly.
Brother Jim
Re: Starship Maps I think he means the engines are the direction of gravity.
Nolgroth
Re: Starship Maps I have all of his PDFs except for the Millennium Falcon clone. The idea of a dry erase version is somewhat cool. Would Vis-a-Vis style wet erase work as well?
mattingly
Re: Starship Maps Hm... I haven't tried wet erase. It might work.

Major Tom 2009
Re: Starship Maps Is this the same guy who put out a series of modular starship map components, which allowed players to make custom ship maps of their own? I remember seeing some files like that back in the early 2000's. Major Tom 2009
mattingly
Re: Starship Maps Yes, these are from Ki Ryn, who offers these as printable page-size sections at RpgNow.
mattingly
Re: Starship Maps Here are some close-ups of the starships, to five you an idea of the level of detail. Plus, of course, you're free to use these small pieces as-is for your own nefarious purposes.
