clsage
For all your Logan's Run and/or Runaway projectile needs...here is this development from DARPA: http://gizmodo.com/self-guided-bullets-that-change-course-midair-are-now-t-1603985159?utm_campaign=socialflow_gizmodo_facebook&utm_source=gizmodo_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow -Carl-

megaplayboy
I'd imagine that, properly applied, this could lead to a dramatic improvement in the effectiveness of anti-aircraft artillery systems. There's already a similar tech in development for self-propelled artillery(the Paladin 155mm, IIRC) that has turned shells into guided projectiles. NuSoardGraphite
About time DARPA produced some good high tech stuff. we're almost to the cyberpunk era. they gotta lot of catching up to do. get on that!!!
BlueCloud2k2
Would also be good for Ballistic Missile Defense.
Old Man
There's already a similar tech in development for self-propelled artillery(the Paladin 155mm, IIRC) that has turned shells into guided projectiles. Laser-guided Copperheads were actually employed in limited numbers in both Iraq wars.
wcw43921
I came across this news yesterday, and I wasn't sure whether to put it in this forum or in Dark Champions. Wherever it belongs, it's quite an impressive achievement.
