Legendsmiths
Monday, July 21, 7pm Eastern... confirm on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/589516004498114/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular# or here. I will be hosting on Google Hangouts and probably Roll20. Ever wanted to learn the Hero System? Always heard about Champions but never had a chance to find out what it's all about? Join us for a session of character creation and then take that character into combat to see how the mechanics of the game work. The GM, Shane Harsch, is a veteran of running Champions for new players at Origins and GenCon for the past 10 years. He is also the author of Narosia: Sea of Tears, a complete fantasy RPG powered by the Hero System (www.narosia.com).

Hyper-Man
Hi, Was this an indirect response to this thread? http://www.herogames.com/forums/topic/89515-champions-so-you-want-to-learn-hero-101/ For the last few days it seems like there was more HERO and Champions related posting on RPGnet than on this forum! This very positive thread: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?731014-Champions-So-you-want-to-learn-HERO-101 was being organized by RPGnet regular SuperG who unfortunately got a 1 month banning for an unfortunate post in a DnD forum of all things. Do we have any Champions GM's here who would be willing to step up and fill his shoes over there in the mean time and keep the positive HERO vibe going? NuSoardGraphite
I think it was a response to someone on the Facebook tabletop RPG's group who wanted a Superhero RPG and looked at Champions but was too intimidated to try and run it. I suggested he hook up with someone who knew the system first to give it a shot, then Shane offered to run through character creation and basic gameplay on google hangout. or maybe he already had this planned and decided to invite the people from Facebook and then posted this in here. Not sure which.

Legendsmiths
Scheduling snafus for the "registered" attendees. I'm running it again tonight, although shorter (9pm eastern). I will also pick another time in a couple of weeks. Legendsmiths
A couple of bumpy spots, but overall it went very well. We had several lurkers and a few participants (although we had 18 say they were coming). I'm sure the next one will be smoother, but I was able to build a character from start to finish.
