phoenix240
Duets were pretty popular in comics, two characters that shared mutual goals and usually a theme that shaped their powers, code names and appearance. I thought it might make a fun game to come up with some of these pairs. One poster suggests the names then others offer their suggestions in as much detail as they like. Full character sheets are not required (but would be cool) but generally an origin and power summary that conveys the duo's theme is a minimum. After some time, the person that suggested the name picks the winner and that post picks a name and so on. Bonus points for tying your suggestion into the others (enemies, hunteds, rivals, etc) If anyone is interested I'd like to start. Razzle and Dazzle. drunkonduty
Razzle dances. Dazzle does the light show. Together, they fight crime. Razzle has a mind control power that can force people to watch him dance. Good for distraction/delaying tactics. Also knows a martial arts style similar to savate. Dazzle has flash attacks and sight group images and can fire lasers with effort (extra END.) They both wear hats. Derbies. They can use them as shields and thrown weapons. Operating on the OP's original instructions, I'm posting another version of Razzle and Dazzle for consideration. It's hard to make a living as a stage magician, and doubly so when you're a female, even if you can peform actual magic instead of simple sleight-of-hand and misdirection. For some strange reason, people seem to think illusionists must all be male, which frustrated Rosalyn Lee to no end. Still, she soldiered on, plying her trade as the Amazing Roz in various second-string venues across the country. Then she met Desmond Jacobs, a smooth-talking con artist who was on the run after he used his questionable talents and his low-level mental powers to cheat a mobster out of a lot of money. Roz and Des fell in love, and Desmond joined the Amazing Roz as her "handsome assistant." After a few years of wedded bliss, however, the mob finally caught up with Des. Thanks to Roz's magic and Des's psionics, they defeated the mobster's goons, but the battle was caught on a cell phone camera, posted online, and went viral. The pair decided to go public, taking on the identities Razzle and Dazzle. They still tour the country, performing along the way. But they also help people with their powers, wherever they can. Razzle's magic includes short-range teleportation (of herself or others), transformation of non-living objects (she really can turn a handkerchief into a boquet of silk flowers with a wave of her hand), and the ability to render heself, another person, or an object temporarily invisible. Dazzle's mental powers include the ability to read surface thoughts, simple mental illusions, and a short-term mental entangle.
Christopher R Taylor
Mr Topp and Dr Hatt, Victorian era heroes were known for their impeccable manners and genteel behavior. Always dressed properly for the occasion and with a keen sense of etiquette, the pair fought crime and fantastical science villains such as the Air Pirate for years before retiring to Hampton Downs. Mr Topp was able to grow to twenty feet tall, along with all of his clothing, and had great strength. Dr Hatt was an inventor with a wide variety of ever-changing equipment of brass, leather, glass, and iron.

Christopher R Taylor
Grimm and Gritty Girl, vigilante pair. Shooting their way through crime, this pair never smiles but shows their teeth a lot in angry grimaces. Grimm is a huge, somewhat stupid man wields a sword the size of a 60's surfboard and yells so loud he shatters windows for blocks before attacking. Gritty Girl is small and looks cute, save for the implausibly gigantic guns she pulls out of a dimensional pocket. She has unusually high strength and great martial arts skill. Together, the pair fight crime on the streets with blood and explosions while running about on their tiny, ill-formed feet.

Both suggestions were good but this one just edges out the other Razzle and Dazzle. So I pass the baton to BoloofEarth.

DusterBoy
Not very original, but how about Assault and Battery? Assault is a brick with a high SPD and appropriate powers. Battery is an electricity-wielding character with a mean streak.
Christopher R Taylor
Time and Tide Time has no powers but is meticulous at planning, with huge luck to simulate always getting things right ahead of time and tactics, along with high CV and the ability to boost the powers of allies. Tide has water powers, especially a telekinetic push and pull with water. They wait for no one.
CaptnStrawberry
Fit and Trim Fit can create dimensional pockets to shrink down/store/throw all manner of useful items. Trim converts caloric intake and fatty deposits into energy blasts; she's always overeating and usually spoiling for a fight (especially as bikini season draws near). [P.S. my favorite Golden Age duo name of all time: the Black Terror. . . and Tim]
