glenrm
Just picked up some 6 Edition books on Amazon, Champions Complete and Champions Powers. Anybody else making this a HERO of a holiday? Also since I am on the topic what are the next 6e books I should be looking to acquire? Cheers, Glen
Hyper-Man
Fantasy Hero Complete should be available in hardcopy in the next 2-3 months. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/herogames/fantasy-hero-complete
Hyper-Man
Hero System Martial Arts is awesome. So is the Hero System Equipment Guide and the Hero System Bestiary. What books are most useful beyond that all depends on what type of games you plan on running/playing in (supers or heroic).
CaptnStrawberry
I just received the 'Villains trilogy' (Masters, Teams, Solos) and don't think you can go wrong there: hundreds of great concepts from Champions history, nice color illustrations. glenrm
Will check out Fantasy Hero Complete, which Villain book is your favorite?
Lord Liaden
I'm a big fan of the HERO System Bestiary. An enormous collection of beasties, featuring many modern animals, extinct animals, a host of fantasy creatures from fiction and several real-world folkloric traditions, classic sci-fi and horror monsters, suitable for everything from mundane modern adventure to near-cosmic superheroes. Something for any genre of game. Regarding the excellent Champions Villains trilogy, my personal favorite is Volume Three: Solo Villains. It's a very diverse assemblage, with all manner of styles and motivations, over a wide range of power levels. Because most of the villains in the book aren't closely tied to others, they're easy to insert into almost any campaign.
