Bathawk1
hey all, going through some of my older Champions books, and notice how they did things differently...like I'm on "scourge of the Deep" and one of the characters has "15pts. life support"...what exactly does 15 points get you in the previous edition? is it distributed amongst various things, or do you get incrememntal benefits the more you invest in it? LouGoncey
In 3rd edition, there is a chart for Life Support Costs. It is a list of powers that come with the cost and it works that if you bought the 3rd item on the list then you have items 1, 2, and 3. At 15 points it gives the following: 1) ability to breathe underwater. 2) no need to breathe & immune to inhaled gasses. 3) immune to gasses absorbed through the skin. Does this help? (Just woke up and still need to feed the java monkey on my back.)
Christopher R Taylor
Here's the full 3rd edition list: Pts Effect 5 The hero may breathe underwater 10 The hero doesn't have to breathe and is immune to inhaled gasses 15 The hero is immune to gasses absorbed through the skin 20 The hero can survive in space or under high pressure 25 The hero need not eat or excrete 30 The hero can survive under conditions of extreme heat, cold, radiation, or pressure, although he still takes damage from attacks of this nature due to shock. wremus
LOL. "15 Points Life Support." I totally remember that from the old editions. I remember 20 pts being the standard for power armor. I remember one of my players getting 25 pts in his armor and then explaining how the armor recycled the waste into food (with the addition of nutrients assumedly). Good times, good times...
