steriaca
Let's say a rookie level villain named Blackball is able to surround himself with a black, spear shaped force field. While inside the field, nobody can use the choak maneuver against him. Since air can still get in, gas based attacks still work against him. But any martial artist will be unable to apply the choak hold upon him. How should this be writen up?
Steve Long
My first suggestion is this: Choke Hold is defined as a type of NND, so just define the force field you describe as providing the defense that negates Choke Holds. That still leaves the character vulnerable to various forms of suffocation while protecting him from this one specific Maneuver. A more obscure way might be to buy Life Support (Self-Contained Breathing) with the Limitations Costs Endurance (-1/2) and Only Applies To Prevent Damage From Choke/Choke Holds (-2). That's really just a form of my first answer (since that LS is one of the defenses to the NND), but with the Limitations I figured it was worth suggesting. Ninja-Bear
Woot woot! I already wrote up life support for Choke hold (scouts honor) & Steve Long describes the same build. I think I might br getting this Hero thing.
Christopher
"Immunity to Martial Arts NND" is dealt with in Hero System Martial Arts 6E (HSMA 6). Choke hold is just one of the possible forms of NND, that Martial Arts can choose from. Choke Holds is simply one of those.
