You win a movie studio! What movies do you make?

Another is ''M Force'' for the QAGS system. It's another ''real world with monsters'' setting but the game setting is more comedic than horror.

My favorite QAGS setting is very similar, and dovetail well -- Funkadelic Frankenstein on the Mean Streets of Monstertown.

A 3D animated Champions movie. I'm not sure who I'd cast as Defender, Witchcraft, etc., but I want Neil Flynn as Foxbat.

I'd cast Paul Reubens, but Neil would work.

A buddy and I played this game about ten years ago, so forgive some out of date casting. The deal was for a non-genre film that would make money and produce sequels. So no personally beloved Sci-Fi novels or old TV shows. What we came up with was a remake of...

Smokey & the Bandit

Bandit.....Dwayne Johnson

Frog........Jessica Alba

Snowman..Larry the Cable guy or whatever Country star would do the soundtrack

Big Enos....Michael Clarke Duncan

Little Enos...Kevin Hart or Chris Tucker

Junior Justice...Patrick Warburton

And as

Sheriff Buford T. Justice

Mr. Burt Reynolds

We'd have to change the plot a bit since Coors beer is legal now. So we make it drugs or some other McGuffin hidden inside the beer Bandit and Snowman have to deliver on time. With Big Enos using the boys as a distraction for the cops to cover the real shipment.

I am both horrified and fascinated.

If rights were no issue, or I somehow magically ended up in control of Marvel Studios, I'd end up making a Power Pack movie.  No idea who I'd cast in it but I'd make sure I'd find the best child actors available for the team itself.

Otherwise I'd probably do something Shadowrun related.

You know, I'd like to do a major animated movie. Maybe a new heavy metal with different stories done in various styles like anime, classic, CGI. Each one should involve taarna and the lok nar's struggle.

Or an anthology of Kirby stories linked by a common element, maybe a character like 'the watcher' .

Or some damn super hero thing.

I just think we haven't had a major mature animated film for a while.

It's almost like a real movie huh?

I think you're going to have a hard time getting Michael Clarke Duncan.

I did mention at the top that the casting was ten years out of date. Most of the actors have aged past their part or passed away.

If I can make a suggestion, The Cargo is, "Mexican Viagra"  it might even be totally legal, but Bufford T. Justice is sure in his heart, that it's evil cargo!

I think I'd start with some modest-budget children's and young adult films based on recent books.  The emphasis will be on a diversity of protagonists with appropriate casting.  Is the lead character in a wheelchair?  I'm sure we can find a talented young actor who uses a wheelchair.  Is the heroine of Pakistani Muslim descent?  There's bound to be at least one young actress out there of Pakistani Muslim descent.  Give some breaks to diverse people behind the scenes as well, who have trouble making those first steps in the business due to not having track records.

My studio is probably going to go broke in five years, but be warmly remembered in many a resume.

Peter Jackson filmed all three LotR movies simultaneously and released them one per year for three years. It was a big gamble, but it worked.

Although the property is not as well known, I think the Chronicles of Amber could benefit from similar treatment.* Find the right actors to play Corwin, Eric, Random, and Ganelon, and we'd be set. Oh, and Dara too, obviously.

* I'm only talking about Corwin's story, i.e., the first five books, of course.

Remake Pacific Rim, but leave out half the "black market horror movie stuff" and put back in the giant robot vs giant monster fights. Anyone else fee the Asian and Russian teams got short shrift? I mean, they described the Russians as single handedly holding the north western rim. and I would have liked to see what the triple arm techniques could have done. Both basically walked into their one and only fights and got taken out by the EMP.
