Halloween horror films.

Recommended Posts

The Raven (1963) was traditional Halloween fare around here. Marketed as a horror film, and played at horror anthologies on TV, it is actually one of the funniest fantasy comedies ever made. If you want Halloween to be fun instead of nerve-wracking, this is your movie.

Of course, when I hear the word horror film I immediately think of 1984. But then I have an odd view of what horror is.

I think of Fatal Attraction.

Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness. Groovy.

The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. Perhaps not horror movies in the traditional sense, but who cares? Raul Julia, Angelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Christina Ricci...the casting was perfect.

Psycho. The original , of course.

Blood Salvage (1990) - A family with a teenage daughter confined to a wheelchair ends up at an auto salvage yard in the country where they are drugged.  All except the daughter are used for body parts sold on the Black Market, while the twisted owner of the yard experiments on the daughter to restore the use of her legs.
