wcw43921
The Article At Seattle Met Saw this posted on Facebook and thought I'd pass it along. While not a roleplaying game, M:TG was certainly inspired by RPGs, and owes a great deal of its success to RPGers who took the game to heart and made it the biggest success in gaming since--well, since Dungeons & Dragons. There it is for anyone who's interested. tkdguy
tkdguy
Thanks. I was into M:TG for a while, but I lost interest after a few years. I eventually sold all my cards; I needed the cash anyway.
mrinku
I hang on to my old Magic cards mostly from respect to a dead set classic game design. Individual cards might be sold off, but not having a playable set would be like not having a chess set or getting rid of my copy of Richtofen's War or Monopoly. Good article. Watchman Mk. IV
I have a couple of ridiculously large boxes and several smaller ones filled with cards that I haven't used since the '90's. Recently I've begun thinking about going through some of the rarer ones to see what they're worth...sometime soon.
