  1. HTML - 6E Old Style Default Character Sheet Superheroic games Simon

6E HTML Old Style Default Character Sheet Superheroic games Simon
    HERO System Sixth Edition
    Type: Single Character
    File Extensions: HTML, HTM

The Export format is based on the 5th edition "DefaultPrintTemplate.hde". I added the new 6E Characteristics, placed the characteristics in the new order. Fixed some formatting issues. Loosened up the cell spacing. Added the new combat maneuvers.. Worked on keeping the formatting readable and consistant while still maintaining the feel of the 5e character sheet. Fixed wordwrap issue for background/appearance fields

If printed, this sheet will now properly break in both IE 6.0 and in Firefox 3.5x, Safari will not properly page break. For Mac and Windows users, I recommend printing using Firefox 3.5 or later for best appearance.

If you have a ton of powers, Talents and Equipment this Sheet will like almost all of the export formats break mid page.

The file "HeroSystem_6ELogos.jpg" needs to be included in same directory as the character's export file.

If the character has an image associated with it and you want to have that image included in the HTML output, you will need to save that image into the same directory as the HTML file when you export (the export wizard will prompt you to save the image). Keep image sizes to less than 246pt x 400pt or the image will be resized by the browser (which makes for ugly pictures)

Original template by Dan Simon, Converted for 6e and tons of stuff changed by Tasha

  2. 6E HTML The Ultimate Character Sheet by desaturated

    HERO System Sixth Edition
    Type: Single Character
    File Extensions: HTML, HTM
This is a must have for every player and game master. This character export sheet looks radically different than the plain black and white sheets. It is styled to match the colours of the rule books and is done in a fun highly legible style. It has the functionality of the default character sheet, but has the following differences:

Collates all combat information including Attack Powers, Defense Powers, Sensory Powers, Equipment and Martial Maneuvers in a special page block. Along with useful combat stats, combat values, combat modifiers, and hit locations tables.

Powers, Equipment, Talents, Martial Arts, Skills, Perks, and Complications are in a wider single column format.

Any notes you've included in the Hero Designer will be now be visible!

Respects any formating you've done to your powers or abilities. Numbered list titles and numbering.

Skills, abilities rolls, and Endurance costs clearly visible along the left hand side. Point costs on the right.

Split into 4 pages for cleaner printing.

The character image is on the 1st page with characteristics, personality, quotes, background and descriptive information.

The recommended picture size: 288px wide. The image should be anywhere from 352px to 442px tall.
The file " herologo.png " needs to be included in same directory as the export file.
If the character has an image associated with it and you want to have that image included in the HTML output, you will need to save that image into the same directory as the HTML file when you export (the export wizard will prompt you to save the image).

--Modified from the Default character sheet by desaturated May 2010, again in August 2011 with support for 6th Ed, again in January 2013 for finishing touches and bug fixes, fixed Move Through [v/5 to v/10] July 2013

This file was manually transferred from the old Hero website to the new website on 12/22/2013 by Hyper-Man. The name/board name of the author was added to the file name to improve file differentiation.
The file was originally written by desaturated based on a file by Dan Simon.

Here is an example character output and alternative link to the hero logo.

  3. Shadowpunk

HTML - Hero 3-Column Hero Shadowpunk -- EDIT
    HERO System Fifth Edition
    Type: Single Character
    File Extensions: HTML, HTM
This is the classic 3-column style used in 4th Edition with custom characterisitics as described in 'Shadowpunk' -- a conversion for Wizkids' (formerly FASA) Shadowrun RPG, and one of the most comprehensive conversion write-ups ever. 151 pages! Created by Damon_Dusk over at the Hero forums, it is presented for you in chapters for easy download, or as one big optimized PDF file (plus the PDF charts). Download, enjoy, and make sure you pass on kudos to Damon_Dusk.' Orklord did a template for Damon_Dusk's conversion, and I modded Derik Hiemforth's export format to include the three custom characteristics. It has the Hero System logo, includes the Hit Location chart, and does not have a space for a character picture.
The "hero5.jpg" file should be placed in the same location as the character is being exported to.
This export template creates output in HTML format. This format -- although easy-to-use -- does not allow strict control over margins, fonts, etc. When you view the exported file, a great deal of how it looks will be controlled by how your browser's preferences are set. So for example, if you find that the entire sheet doesn't fit on a printed page, try changing the margins in your browser's print setup. If the text size appears too small or too large for you -- on screen or when printed -- try adjusting your font sizes in your browser preferences, and so on. The options set within this template itself are designed to try and provide good output on most systems, but -- since every configuration is a little different from every other -- you may need to tweak the settings on your end to get a result you're happy with.

  7. Hero Compact (RTF)

The layout is a clean two column format with indenting and bolding for clarity. The Hero System logo is in the document, and nearly all character tags/information are included. Redundant information is avoided (e.g. STUN is listed only once).

Sections are by column. Usually you can condense a character to 2 pages just by rearranging sections.

The RTF in this format is only supported by MS Word, which is supported with the MS Word Viewer (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=4).

    Other Notes
All skill levels put along side Combat Skill Levels
Encumbrance is only displayed if you have equipment
Equipment lists in a more "equipment like" format
Secondary STR produces Secondary ENC Table
If you have an image file the file size will be bloated if you just preview the character. Use Export to File to ensure the smallest file size possible.
Image should fit under background and must be a JPEG

Please feel free to send me comments or corrections.
