Common Handguns 1.3

About This File

This prefab contains a number of common 20th-21st century handguns that I use in my own supers campaign but would be useful for any campaign where firearms are availble. It's a fairly large list but not exhaustive. I own or have fired many of these guns so their ratings are based on my own personal experince.

I've modified the STR minimums down as the 6e rules consider "normal" humans to have an ST between 5 -8. Most of these hand guns can easily be controlled by your average person.

If you have any suggestions for changes or additions, I will gladly include them.

What's New in Version 1.3

Released

  • v 1.1 - Added increased stun multiplier to .455 Webley and .45 Colt.
  • v1.2 - Added the Makarov MP. Added notes on concealing small handguns.
  • v1.3 - Extensive redesign of most of the guns thanks to some very useful suggestions from Hyper-Man:
  • Added: Beretta Storm, FN 57, HK 45 Tactical and Springfield XD.
  • Added Notes on Browning Hi-Power.
  • Increased ST minimum of Taurus Judge to 9.
  • Fixed formatting.

I am confused by your use of Advantages instead of CSL's/PSL's to model stuff like +1 OCV and +1 Range Modifer.  Was there a specific reason you went with this alternative approach?

Honestly, it's just how my mind works; as in "+1 to OCV or RMod is "advantageous" over weapons without them. Perhaps I make things to complicated.

Actually, it's just the way I think. In my mind, "+1 OCV" is "advantageous" to that's where I default. You're probably right and I'm making it too difficult.
