  1. Combat Tracker

These are Excel spreadsheets to automatically (and randomly) calculate the results of attacks (may they be critical or not) and damage of Normal and Killing attacks, considering defenses, Hit Locations, Surprise and Damage Reduction modifiers. The sheets simulate Hero System's dice rollings.

Useful for GMs who like using computers or tablets to speed up combat calculations.

  3. Cardboard hero template

A simple word doc to create 1"x1.5" tentable cardboard heroes.  Grab images off the internet or draw/scan your own to put in the template.  Remember, the center line in each table will be the top of the tent and that given the size of the counter, not a lot of detail will be seen.

  5. Hero System Universe and Timeline

This is the Hero System Universe Timeline written by Steven S. Long and based on work by Steve Peterson and Steven S. Long. I found this online and noticed that it was not available here. It is a 4 page high level brief description of the significant events in the Hero System Timeline from 100,000 BC (before the Turakian Age) through the year 3000 A.D...It was written for 5th edition but it is version agnostic.

  7. Champions New Millennium - Hero System Character Sheets

In the 1990s Hero Games published three source books for an official setting for their Champions superhero game. Under the general heading of Champions New Millennium, these books describe a world history, campaign city, and a large number of NPC villains and heroes. Some of the latter resemble characters published under earlier or later editions of Champions, but with their own distinctive interpretations; while others were unique to the New Millennium line.

Those books weren't written for Hero System, but another game rule set called Fuzion. However, over the late Nineties and early in this millennium, the Hero Games website hosted Hero Fourth Edition character sheets for nearly all the characters from the New Millennium line, for people who wanted to use those rules to play in that setting. Recently Hero Games has started selling PDF versions of the New Millennium books, and I thought it might make them more desirable to Hero System fans if I uploaded those 4E character sheets, which I saved from the earlier website.

This download is a ZIP folder of over eighty 4E character sheets for characters from all three books, in HTM format. These are only the game-mechanic write-ups for the characters, not including their background text and illustrations from the original books. Those books -- Champions New Millennium, Alliances, and Bay City -- are available from the website store, under "HERO System Fourth Edition (and earlier) / Champions."

Thanks to Jason Walters for permission to upload these files.

This is an alternative way of laying out a character sheet purely for playing in a game session. The aim was to get it to fit in half a side of A4.

  12. Tripsheet.xls

Simple XLS sheet (I downrevved the version as I have the latest Excel so that it might be easier to be usable by others (+1/4). I created this for my next game and I am amazed there hasn't been one created and in the download section of the site.

Ident is a field I use to denote villain or hero or possibly status. What you change it to will be the symbol used in speed as the example shows.

This chart hasn't been QA'd very religiously. Just thought some people might like it.

  13. Probabilities.XSLX

This is just an Excel sheet with probabilities for rolling some value on Xd6 from 1 on 1d6 to 120 on 20d6. Note the TRUE/TRUE are just self checks on my calculations. After 20d6, rounding issues appear to occur on my MacBook Air and Excel so the system only goes to 20d6.

  23. NPCs Resources

This spreadsheet was made to speed up gameplay during damage calculations on combats and to keep track of NPC resources (END, BODY, STUN). Here is a quick set of instructions to use the file:
Sheet "NPC Resources": Type names and/or numbers for each NPC on the battlefeld.
Insert their numbers as required (STUN, BODY, END, REC). Copy/paste is OK!
As the fight goes on, type the expenses in any column and order in the respective line.
Whenever the character takes a recovery, either type anything in the black "REC" line or type "r" in the STUN or END lines.
Aid/Drain is also allowed; type them in the last three columns.

    [*]Damage sheets (Normal/Killing)
When a NPC is hit, type in their respective defenses in any of the six tables available.
    Then, ask the player if he/she wants to roll for hit locations: If so, just select "N" in the dropdown "Auto?" menu and then select the local hit in the respective menu;
If not, just select "Y" in the dropdown "Auto?" menu.

[*]Ask the player if she/he wants to roll the damage dice.
If so, just type the number of dice and select the right modifier in the respective Damage Roll table.
If needed, copy and paste (values only) BODY or STUN damages in the correspondent table (the one in which you put the NPC defenses).

    [*]NPC Resources (again):
Type in any line/column the damage taken by the NPC. You may paste something copied from the other sheets; however, if so, paste as "values only"!
