1st off, I know this should be under hero designer, but it looks like that forum is pretty slow compared to this one. I just installed Hero Des. and updated to 1.47, but when I try to check out the disad list there are no examples, am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot, Shaft.....out.

First of all, this is not an attack. Second, I am a fan. I've been playing Champions since before Champions 2 (I still have the original hex map and blue dice that came with the boxed set). I own so many 4th Ed and earlier supplements, I could open a store... I bought the 5th Ed rules, and enjoyed them. I haven't played them yet, but I have seen many improvements. I bought Champions, glad that Aaron was back. Now I know Aaron is far more 4 Color than I am... but did anyone else think too much of Champions bordered on corny? I have only had CU and CKC for a few days... and maybe the problem is that I have not given any of this new material enough time; but I'm…

I'm making a character (tentatively) named the "Iron Sage". He's a Buddhist Mystic/Brick. As a Buddhist, he must always be open to non-violent alternatives to confrontations. He must also always offer his enemy a chance to surrender (and thus avoid violence). How many points would you all say this is worth, and what should the specs be?

I am a total fan of motiff teams such as the Serpent Society, The Royal Flush Gang and the Death Throes (don't ask). I've decided to create/rip-off my own theme based on The Pride mentioned in GURPS SuperScum. Any suggestions from the learned panel? Going off archetypes: Brick Energy Projector: Snow Leopard, only one I'm sure of Martial Artist: Like to stay away from the obvious Mentalist Metamorph Mystic Powered armor Speedster: Cheetah - too obvious? Weaponmaster As always, thanks in advance.

My brother wants to create a Lucha Libre [Luchador] Professional Wrestler type PC. Ninja Hero, Ultimate Martial Artist, and the core book all have moves for wrestling type PCs, but I don't feel any of the offered moves comes close to approximating the high-flying [dynamic] Lucha Libre style. Does anyone have any ideas? Or has anyone seen something similar to what I'd be looking for?

I'm looking into creating an original campaign world, simply cause I like to do that. One of the villain groups is the Avatars. The Avatars are the embodiments of the physical and mental attributes. Strength, Agility, Constitution, Intelligence, Ego, Presence, Beauty, and Speed. I want names for these villains thus far my working titles are: Might Bladewalker Invinvible Savant Willpower Cult Lorelai any ideas on how to represent them or new names?

Hey everybody. Been lurking for awhile, but just signed up since everyone here seems cool to talk to. I'm having trouble with a phenomenon that usually doesn't pop up in the comics much. My group of 4 PCs have all gained children, whether through natural processes, adopting, or building them. There aren't many mainstream comics aside from the FF that have prominent kid characters, and I don't read any books that have multiple teenagers per family (one PC has 5!) I'm especially puzzled by what to do with one PC's children. SHe's, paradoxily, 18 years old and team leader. She's recently admitted to having a robot child on live TV. RObot as in silvery android…

Here is my take on the Unstoppable Character (Thanks to various posts on the boards.)THis character is basically a wrestler that helps out local hero groups and police when he can.He is in the META-HUMAN Sports leauge. I've been doing some work on my Golden Age Superheroes/Pulp Heroes campaign, and I've decided to make one of the main villains a Nazi mad scientist/Prussian noble whose purpose is to keep the heroes busy at home so that they don't go to Germany to fight. I thought it would be cool to give him an interesting base, but the whole "German castle" thing didn't work because it needed to be in the US. Then, last time I visited Germany, we went to the Zeppelin museum. I've decided to give him a "castle" in the sky -- a giant zeppelin! I figure his ancestral castle was destroyed during World War I, and he rebuilt using "high technology". I've even gotten inspiration from the …

My condolences to his family, but in a superhero universe he would have been found, and revived. Unfortunately, I know squat about winter sports. Anyone have a suggestion of what sklls and powers could be made from hockey, snowboarding, disappearing/reappearing equiptment, and 14 years in a glacier?

Greetings, I have been transferring stuff from d20 into Hero for our group, and came to an ability that I am having trouble with. The ability (an ability of a 'Devoted Defender" prestige class) allows: If the defender is five feet from the person being defended, the defender can switch places with the person (in essence, if someone were standing nose to nose with the defender's charge, then the defender could instantly switch places with the charge and have the opponent standing nose to nose with the defender, while the defender's charge is behind the defender). I hope I am explaining it well. Any ideas?? It would only work to switch places with the devo…

If this doesn't start a non-political heated debate, nothing will. HEHEHEHHEHEHE!!! I want to have a character with MASSIVE amounts of STR, and all that that implies: leaping, lifting, figured stats, etc. However, I don't want to do SICK amounts of damage. So what I'd like to do is make a character with a 60 STR purchased normally, then get another +30 or so with the limitation, cannot be used to do damage. The explanation would be that the character is SO strong that he lacks the kinesthetic sense to apply it fully when fighting. Thus, he can lift and leap at full capacity, as well as enjoys the full stat benefits, but can't punch or squeeze better than 12D6 (w…

Planing a subplot with Slug. He'll be summoning some demons to act as cannon fodder and diversions. Thought it might be interesting to make the demons Moorcockian archtypes, the Mother of all Reptiles, the Lord of Sharks, the Parent of All Starfish, etc. As the subplot continues, the archtypes will be less evolved, and closer to the Elder Worms. (How am I going to make the Lord of All Sponges threatening? Let it be a challenge to me.) If memory serves, there are some 15 phyla not represented by living animals. Can someone direct me to a web site that names and describes these extinct phyla? Those should yield some "unearthly" demons. Thanking everyone in …

http://www.champions-vs-sas.com/ Dr Destroyer and Kreuzritter will be forging an unholy alliance (Kind of like Marrying in leather?) and thus the stage for "Reality Storm" is set. http://pub84.ezboard.com/bsuperheroshowdown66104 if you want to talk with the SAS fans and post your thoughts. I know others will have their gripes, but I'd like to thank DoJ AND GoO for this fun oppurtunity. I rather enjoyed many of the stories.

Just saw LXG and can't wait to see you guys create CHAMPIONS versions of the characters My take on the team NEMO: Inventor / Martial Artist HYDE: Multi-form brick SAWYER: SKilled Normal QUARTERMAINE: Skilled normal DORIAN GREY: Martial Artist (sword) with a healing factor that would put Wolverine to shame MINA HARKER: Scientist / Vampire ???Forgot the Name???: Invisible / Skilled normal OT: I had Dorian Grey as a character in a Western Hero game (the other players were a Quai Gan Cane like martial artist, A trickshot artist and an inventor so the Grey character was not too out there)

This idea is stollen from the old GURPS boards, and has probably been done here before. The Challenge: What kind of Supers can be made for 50 base points + no more than 50 points in Disadvantages. No selling characteristics back for extra points, and every character should have at least one or two skills they could use to make a living. Use of Such Characters: These characters can be used as competent normal DNPCs, colorful agents and/or thugs, minor NPC villains and heroes, minions of tougher characters or as the basis for a very low powered campaign. Any takers?

This is a guy I built yesterday, this is a Playable Version (the NPC is much tougher - Villain level in my game). It's really just me looking for advice/critique/unwarrented-praise/offers-of-money/offers-of-unborn-children... well, you get the idea. One of the things I liked about this guy was the fact that his armor falls apart if he falls unconcious. He is a Cyberkenetic and his battle armor is just pieces of electronics/machinery that he draws to him. So... ooo and ahh (or jeer and rasberry) as you see fit.
